A vote for Biden is a vote for survival

Imagine your ship has gone down in a stormy sea. In the dead of night you thrash about in the waves trying somehow to stay afloat.  But you are going down. You can’t hold out much longer.

Suddenly, someone throws you a life preserver.  

Do you grab it?  

It’s no guaranty of survival.  You haven’t been rescued yet and you are still adrift in a dark stormy sea with waves crashing all around.

But take hold and at least you have chance.

This election is just like that.

If enough of us grab hold of the life preserver for all we’re worth – pull the lever, check the box, write the name of Uncle Joe – maybe we’ll somehow have the chance to get through all this.

Maybe we’ll find a way to pull together and rescue democracy – not just for our country, but for the world.

Maybe we’ll find a way through the coronavirus crisis that doesn’t involve millions of people dying.

Maybe we’ll find a way to build a fairer society, one that people won’t feel the need to tear apart.

Maybe we’ll find a way to save ourselves and our offspring from the ravages of runaway climate change.

Maybe we’ll be able to sleep again.

Electing Joe Biden is no guaranty we’ll be able to survive.  As a country.  As a society.  As a democracy.  As a species.  

But at least we’ll have a chance.

If Trump remains, we won’t.

So if you haven’t done so yet, VOTE NOW!

Vote Biden.  

Vote blue.

Make sure everyone you know votes for Uncle Joe.
