All I could say was: WTF?! and OMG when I saw the cover last night over at Heidi Li's blog. It's the morning after and I'm still speechless. It really does look like it should be a Mad Magazine cover.
Ooops! I think I just threw up a little! Sad that the editors of Ms. magazine sold their soul for a few sales! Gloria Steinem and Donna Brazile....taking steps back for the Women's Movement!
That is a dusgusting cover because it's so totally untrue. Where on earth did they get that idea-from Obamanation central?!!
And the person who commented about Dickens was right-Treated his wide badly. Wasn't all that great to his mistress and the women in his books are generally either insipid dolls like Lucie in A TALE OF TWO CITIES, total eccentrics, or warped souls like Estella.
Anon, I was a Women's Studies major in college this century. Please don't compare me to the sell-outs at Ms. Not all of us support Obama.
Even though I've never subscribed to Ms., I stopped associating with NOW and unsubscribed from about a dozen "feminist" and "progressive" newsletters. Once the Messiah has tossed them aside like used rags, they will go under. They'll get their due in time.
Best comeback yet, Anonymous@2:27. I just did that little thing.
This is the final crumbling of the empty husks that NOW, Ms. and most academic feminists - they gotta keep their jobs, dontcha know - have been for years.
Demholdout, the Women's Studies and Women's Centers at the universities I'm familiar with serve as gags for women who might actually effect women's equality at those campuses. Their overwhelming attitude is that "privileged white woman" is a redundant phrase; they work to silence not only the majority of women, but also those who are among the most effective agents of change. When I start hearing "privileged black men" (who as a group outearn white women, and by much more than white women outearn black women) as often, or even at all from the same crowd, maybe I'll rethink that.
Anonymous, how DARE you diss Charles Dickens??? I am outraged.
Almost as outraged as I am by that cover. Jeebus, just when I thought I couldn't be any more vomitated by the vomitatiousness of the Obot Fan Club. Sheebus.
Eleanor Smeal and the Feminist Majority Foundation need to be held accountable. To the person mentioning Gloria Steinem, Steinem and others started Women's Media Center as a place to focus on and allow 'younger' hands to work at Ms. Steinem's involvement with Ms. is minimal. And Women's Media Center does its share of embarrassing things as well.

Hey--trying to eat here, Joe.
Surely this is some type of Onion parody?
I want Larry Flynt to put up a cover on his rag of a suitably un-attired young woman with "this is what an ALPHA male looks like" across her chest.
This is a joke. Right? Right?

Check out this breaking news:

Rage beyond rage. Despair beyond despair. Ms. has made itself the laughing stock of the universe. They've all been kidnapped and replaced by fembots.
The ignorance just blows me away - don't these twinks have any critical intelligence at all???
Oh my god... I thought it was a joke, so I went to their website *sob*... it isn't.

Check out The Confluence. They have several variations on the theme.
Nominate the issue for NOW's Media Hall of Shame.

GOD.
That made me cry.
I think I just puked a little in my own mouth....I hate the fembots of the 70's..so much anger, so little insight.
This is where we get with the "Women's Studies"group types...ugh.
This man likes women as much as Charles Dickens did.
