Jay Leno will host a new version of the Tonight show (but not called that) on NBC at 10 each night. This will be followed by Conan O'Brien doing the Tonight Show (called that) followed by a yet-to-be-named personage doing Late Night (is it still called that?). My question: Do we have enough vapid celebrities to fill up three hours each night?

How will we be able to tell the difference between the new and old lineup??????

Mmm.. filling a void with vapidity. If the can elect a President, surely they can find at least one or two candidates vapid enough to fill the "late night" void.

leno sucks.
Seriously...this is pretty ridiculous. An hour of celebrity interviews followed by the news followed by two hours of celebrity interviews. Christ!
Wait, I have an idea! Why not give an hour every day to Obama!
What a question! Celebrities are everywhere - from prisons to politics. You can fill all the trash cans err- talk shows with them.
This is good news for me. I happen to enjoy Leno but he's on too late for me, aging boomer that I am.
Are you old enough to remember the Carson show when it was from NYC? I am barely. It was a great show. Witty and sophisticated, but not offputtingly so.
When it comes to vapid celebrities, Hollywood is a bottomless pit. When it comes to good comedy writers for TV...sadly, we just don't have enough. Maybe they'll start recruiting bloggers!
