Looks like Chris Matthews may run against Arlen Specter for the latter's Senate seat. Can an old JFK assassination buff like me actually root for Arlen Freaking Specter? Bleeauaghch...

Will MSNBC allow Matthews to broadcast his hate-filled views to millions while he runs for Senate?

Getting Matthews off TV would be the only good outcome of such a race.

On the bright side, if he wins he won't be on television nearly as much for SIX WHOLE YEARS!

But I'm guessing the ads Specter will run will just be Tweety being Tweety, and that'll mean bye bye birdie.

Great, just what Pennsylvania needs: another asshole Obamahead senator. And here I was foolishly thinking that McCain would be the only Republican I'd ever cast a ballot for.

Arlen can run on his own record and performance and defeat anyone. PA Democrats like him, probably because he's very very funny. They probably won't let Tweety win the primary is how much they like Arlen, save everyone a lot of $$ and tsuris.

I agree, the idea of tweety actually representing PA is too much to bear. Guys like tweety are so used to "buying" whatever they want that they think its a snap to purchase a senate seat - and sadly it is to the extent that the people of PA roll over and allow it. Let's hope Arlen's popularity in PA is broad and deeply entrenched or there's an ambitious charismatic dem somewhere just chomping at the bit to run.

I hate to admit it, but I'd prefer Arlen Specter over Chris Matthews. And even in his current state, I don't believe Specter will leave government one second sooner than he chooses to.

I think Matthews would have to step down the minute he signs the papers to get on the primary ballot.
Then Keith Oberman cad be the big cheeze,

Let's see:Arlen Specter was trying to impeach Clinton after his term "We can still take away his secret service" OTOH, I can think of moments in his life not dedicated to the obsession of destroying the Clintons. And I can't say the same for Tweety. Go Arlen!

I'd vote for Satan before voting for Chris Matthews or anyone else who works on MSNBC. It's the same decision I made when I decided not to vote for Obama.

Well then, a Democratic Primary is in order, doncha think?

Phil Berg has been a Patriot. His blood, sweat and tears tried to keep us on track...and he's from PA!

That would be a great Primary Race... Phil batting Tweety from his cage.
