I agree totally. That IS outrageous. (Why did I stop watching that crap 20 years ago?)
Nevertheless... Palin was in fantasyland:
1. Georgia is not a member of NATO and may well not become so, mostly because many Europeans are more sane than the American neocons, ... they live next door to Russia.
2. Russia did not invade Georgia, Russia defended South Ossetia from a surprise night attack launched by Georgia. In its precise symmetric defensive action, Russia took out Georgia's military capacity and that necessitated going into Georgia proper. Russia in no way wants war.
3. Georgia is not a democracy, as should be apparent when one looks at psychopathic drug-user Saakashvili's reaction to opposition protesters last year - he responded with tear gas, water cannons, rubber bullets, and a "state of emergency," ... martial law.
With our cartel media and our candidates this is a very tragic situation. I WAS happy to hear (read) Palin say she's not into the war mongering and is into working with Russia. She, as governor made some good decisions about rail infrastructure in Alaska and is no doubt well aware of Russia's proposal to tunnel the Bearing Strait. It's just that I'd bet they'll push for it to be a damned "public-private-partnership" rather than a project for We the people.
I can't believe you allow sexist attacks against Palin on your blog. We all know Gary hates woman.
We can all witness that she's a great expert on national security, international relationship and geopolitic from all the great interviews she gave without any coaching. I can't wait to hear her on Charlie Rose.
They knew McCain isn't going to last long and the Republican establishment don't like a President who is not clueless. it's more difficult to control.
"I do not believe that Gary hates women, and his points are within the realm of reasonable debate."
Sorry, it was irony. I was imitating all these pundits on Foxnews who were accusing Hillary of playing the sexism card months ago and are now playing it on every attack against Palin.
Sarah Palin And Republican Hypocrisy Really worth watching, it's amazing to watch them say the exact opposite of what they were saying when these people were attacking Hillary !
Btw, why McCain has not complained about the ABC interview if it completely denatured what Palin was told to say by her handlers ?
Mr. Cannon,I do not in any way approve of what abc did, but please don't lose track of the fact that McCain/Palin are Republicans.Yes,I am going to vote for them but only because they are the lesser of two evils. I haven't observed anything from Palin that impresses me that she is anything but a run of the mill Repug.
"you'd think that if you show a question, you have to show the entire answer"
Ever watch a show called 60 minutes? how about something called "the news" You'd think that Americans were more media literate by now, and would know that things get edited out for concision (as well as for political & socioeconomic reasons) ....Or were there really WMDs in iraq? And Saddam was really responsible for 9/11? (not to mention WTC7)
I'm just shocked (and awed) that ABC (or Mauswitch, as the mouseployees call it) News would edit Palin. How dare they!! Call Keith!!!! Oh wait, would GE have better "news?" Maybe we should go cry to Westinghouse (aka SeeBS) instead?
Y'know what the funniest part is? The 'censored' part where Palin says; "we won the Cold War, without a shot fired." Wow. I guess Nicaragua was just a figment of my imagination (not to mention the bullets not flying out of Uzis and AK47s in South Central LA in the crack-Contra fundraisers), it's good that no one died in Vietnam, that Castillo let no bullets fly after he got rid of Arbenz, and no 3500 Dominicans got killed in Operation PowerPack.. ....And who could forget that famous September 11th (1973) when apparently no shots were fired to get rid of Allende (and the desaparecidos in the Estadio Nacional) So good to know! Thanks Sarah Palin for clearing that up for me.
Now excuse me, I have to run. see it's horrible and in poor taste to put the pregnant teen in the spotlight but i have to go protest outside of an abortion clinic now, and force some girl who got molested, not only to pay for her medical rape kit, but to now have the baby. You know, 'cause every life is sacred....

Far out. The media is screwing over Republicans the way it's been screwing over Democrats for the last twenty years.

I'm confused. The broadcast I watched had the boldfaced material included.
Could the problem be that later interviews, which added new material, condensed the earlier parts that had been presented in full?
I understand that time constraints come into play, but you'd think that if you show a question, you have to show the entire answer to that question.
