As a follow-up to Jen's piece below, I should note that the internets are a-buzzin' with rumors that Joe Biden may drop out. Apparently, a viral em-mail to that effect has made the rounds: See here and here and here. A veep leaving the ticket this close to the election is, of course, without precedent.
Progs have spread a similar rumor about Palin dropping out. Balderdash -- like most of the other things they've said about her.

I haven't heard rumors, but I caught part of a bizarre 'Insider' bit yesterday where they used some video as evidence of him being gaffe-prone. Uhh, no, this was a man too distracted to know what he was saying.
In answer to an inquiry about the economic crisis, he actually said that FDR responded to the Stock Market Crash by going on television to speak to the country. Now, I have a BA in History, but I don't think much beyond 3rd or 4th grade would be required to spot the errors in that one.
Unhip as I am, I actually didn't know anything about these rumors when I made my post about Biden.
