A senior Democrat who worked for Mr Clinton has revealed that he recently told friends Mr Obama could "kiss my ass" in return for his support. The Telegraph says that Clinton is taking a "patronizing" attitude toward Obama. In fact, he is ticked off by Obama's arrogant attitude toward him.
It has long been known that Mr Clinton is angry at the way his own reputation was tarnished during the primary battle when several of his comments were interpreted as racist.I say Bill Clinton should do as the PUMAs do: Formally leave the Democratic Party and announce support for John McCain. If Hillary won't do likewise, dissociate from her.
But his lingering fury has shocked his friends. The Democrat told the Telegraph: "He's been angry for a while. But everyone thought he would get over it. He hasn't. I've spoken to a couple of people who he's been in contact with and he is mad as hell.
That move would really Phuck Up Moulitsas and Arianna.

President Clinton helped build the Democratic Party, after 12 years of Republicans trashing the country. Even though other members of the Democratic Party often did not support him, it is still his party, more than it is Senator Obama's (who, I believe, has damaged the party). I believe President Clinton would be more likely to try to take the party back, rather than leave it. We should help.
No telling who he might vote for in the privacy of the voting booth, of course. And that would be none of our business, unless he wants to tell us.

Well, that would definitely leave a mark.
On HIStory. Could he possibly resist.
It's a tempting thought, but doing so would only validate previous attacks on Bill, and effectively terminate Hillary's political career. If anything, the blogger boys would welcome Bill doing as you suggest, because it would retroactively justify all their actions to date.
It wouldn't hurt my feelings a bit if Bill decided to leave the party and start a new one, taking most of the Democratic base with him. I'd follow him in a minute. And it could be the best thing that ever happened to this country. We've long needed a third flavor - particularly one that believes in getting shit done.
But on the more practical side, it would definitely cause an uproar and probably hurt Hillary's career as well. I don't think Bill would do that, no matter how angry he is. He knows in his heart that she is the best candidate and was robbed. But he doesn't want to take her out of position to try again. He did say after her concession speech that we shouldn't be surprised if she runs again at some point. I'm sure he knows that Obama doesn't have a prayer of winning in November. He's basically robbed the country of a democratic president and Hillary personally. What an arrogant zero he is.
.
“Bitter,” my ass!
Bill could be angry or saddened about what's happening to the United States of America, and other events around the world, which he might perceive as connected. I assume that, unlike most of the U.S. blogging world, he gives thought daily to the scope of things beyond Obama and the DNC, that he knows what the European Council on Foreign Relations is currently up to, and what Karl Popper's book, "The Open Society..." was about, and that Popper was Soro's mentor, and that Soros is a founding member of the ECFR. If there is a deathly disaster coming economically, he sees it; if things are falling into place for terrible wars, he sees it. If the U.S.A. is relentlessly being torn to shreds, the people being turned against one another instead of unified to a noble cause, he sees it.
The Sunday Telegraph, a flagship publication of British right-wing, is hardly on the side of the General Welfare or the lower 80 percent of the economic spectrum which Hillary Clinton has arguably spent her public life representing and trying to help.
How would WE like to be in Bill's shoes?
Yes, he is a human being, imperfect. Yes, he is a politician. He is also very intelligent and informed and experienced.
I’m not bitter. I’m angry. The war is not over. Bitter implies having lost. That’s just the “meme” the Telegraph and the cartel media are pissing all over us. To them, I spit expletives. They are below the scum in the filthiest of gutters.
I can't read the thoughts of Bill and Hillary Clinton and I don't have a crystal ball. But I know what I know, and I know how much I don't know.
Our children--future generations--are going to suffer beyond our imaginings because we are so entertainment-oriented, stupidified and helpless.
Unless we choose to change. Very, very soon.
And about Albert Fat-Ass Gore, of Unregulated Carbon-Credits Trading Fame
The last two paragraphs of the Telegraph article:
“Joe Klein, the author of Primary Colours, a fictionalised account of Mr Clinton's 1992 election, who has known the former president for 20 years, said he also heard that he was 'very, very bitter', from people who have spoken with him.
'It's time for him to get over it or go off and do his charitable work. He knows the rules of the road. What's going on now is kind of strange. I think his behaviour is really, really shocking.'"
Time magazine, Joe Klein's column of March 26, 2008: "Is Al Gore the Answer?". . .
Klein predicts that "if this race continues to slide downhill, the answer to the Democrat Party's dilemma may turn out to be Al Gore." Klein projects a scenario in which the Democratic Party elders decide that neither Hillary or Obama is viable, so they convince 100 or so superdelegates to sit out the first vote at the Convention, denying both candidates the 2025 votes needed for nomination. They then approach Gore to be the nominee "for the good of the party"--with Obama as his running mate.
Klein adds that one “prominent fund-raiser” told him, "Gore-Obama is the ticket a lot of people [Who? Soros? the DNC?] wanted in the first place."
It won't be Gore.
I think a lot of the PUMAs would reconcile themselves to Gore just fine, though.
You may well be right, Joseph. Maybe not Gore. I saw just yesterday:
myiq2xu at Klownhaus, Which ends with...
“Now the situation isn’t hopeless. There are alternatives. The Democratic convention isn’t until August. One alternative would be to nominate Hillary Clinton. Of course, that would anger the rabid Obama supporters, and despite their “get over it” rhetoric they would likely refuse to support Hillary.
“But like I said, it isn’t about Hillary. Even though we believe her to be by far the best available candidate, there are other Democrats that PUMA’s would support. Al Gore probably tops that list, but Chris Dodd, Joe Biden and Wesley Clarke are qualified for the job, as would be Madeline Albright or Dianne Feinstein. There are others as well.”
.
Meanwhile, at The Confluence:
"PUMAs, we love to talk here. It’s that kind of party. But trigger words are best left for other blogs so please consider leaving them with our lovely checkroom attendant, Florence. The waiters will be circulating with mushrooms stuffed with crab, chicken sate with peanut sauce and golden potato slices with cilantro chutney. Please drink responsibly and tip your wait staff generously."
And (admittedly pulled out of it's context in the same piece, but I don't think it matters) :
"But now that we are PUMAs, we need to put a little space between us and Hillary."
I don't know, (am I emphasizing that enough?) but I've begun to speculate / wonder if The Confluence and (portions of) the PUMA movement are going to perform a function similar to what DailyKos performed--dividing, distracting and confusing decent people who are passionately looking for a way to get their country back.
Joseph, you have made it clear that you are not a Clinton fan or supporter. I accept that. I myself could accept a number of people as president besides Clinton. But it was Clinton and Mr 0. And it is Clinton who has been, or is being cheated out of a fair shot at the nomination at the convention in late August in Denver.
And not only is that wrong for the Democratic Party (your emphasis, I believe), but it is wrong for our country and the world (my emphasis.) Please do not mistake me for a "fan" of Clinton. My concern is for our country. And since, by my reckoning, Clinton should by rights and presidence(sp?) be on the first ballot at the convention... yada, yada...
"I've begun to speculate / wonder if The Confluence and (portions of) the PUMA movement are going to perform a function similar to what DailyKos performed--dividing, distracting and confusing decent people who are passionately looking for a way to get their country back."
Well, A few months ago I was looking for a way to get my country back.
Now I'll settle for getting my party back.
Joseph, if it happens this election cycle, I think we are on the same happy page. If you're looking to wait for 2012, good luck to us all with that.
Bill Clinton is resposible for the Republican majorities in both houses of Congress in the 1990s. No wonder you love him. I would too if I were a Republican.
PUMA (lol) can have him. We're doing just fine without him. This is Obama's party now.
They still love him in the UK:

"How Bill Clinton brightens a room."
Amen! I’d like to know where Obama would be without Clinton and his progress in the 1990’s. How dare a “potential” Democratic nominee say the best President in the last couple of decades was Ronald Reagan. Are you kidding me!!! The same Reagan who sold arms with Iran, the same man who cut my student loans while in college, the same man who believed in voo-doo economics.
This is Obama’s ideal for president??? Genius, Democrat = HELL NO!!!
Are these all 20 year olds voting or what? NO one remembers how bad it was to get a job in the late 1980’s?
Obama is nothing but an EMPTY suit. He and his wife have no class. They have never once said they LOVE THIS COUNTRY. Ask yourself, shouldn’t the next president be able to say at least that???? No wonder people question if he truly is an American. He creates his own speculation about his patriotism. My dog even likes this country.
Obama has no substance. It is like listening to a thesaurus talking out loud. Where is the BEEF?
He will lead this country without a clue. Recall he said oops more than 6 times in the state senate. He had to say oops I pressed the wrong button when I voted. That on top of voting ONLY present more than 100 times.
Hey if you want to be president you better damn well be able to make a fricken decision pal. There is no oops or present votes in WDC.
This is the most orchestrated pile of crap I have seen in a long time. Howard Dean better take notice, this Democrat is never voting for Obama. Pack you bags folks, this is going to be a long trip before November. We’re in for a ride. PUMAS are damn well mad that Dean is trying to hijack the democratic party to become Marxist radicals.
For the history gurus out there, recall Hitler’s whole campaign was about CHANGE. So I ask, what change are we talking about. I choose to be center — not left off the edge of reason.
PUMAS united. Voting “write in” HIllary Clinton.
