Not only Obama is a liar, he is also unpatriotic(no lapel pin?), lacks judgment in choosing the right church(America's chickens have come home to roost?), he is a terrorist(how else he explains having heard of Ayers or has he?) and he is an elitist(how else do you explain Values Voters consistently voting against their economic interests?).
It isn't as if I didn't know all of this....what with Rush and Hannity and McCain and our own Joe here and even Hillary herself trying to open my eyes and all.
But, I did learn something I didn't know before, not about Obama, but Hillary. Let's hear it in her own words.
"CLINTON: Well, in fact, George, I think that we should be looking to create an umbrella of deterrence that goes much further than just Israel. Of course, I would make it clear to the Iranians that an attack on Israel would incur massive retaliation from the United States."....massive retaliation?
"But I would do the same with other countries in the region.... And I think that this is an opportunity, with skillful diplomacy, for the United States, to go to the region and enlist the region in a security agreement vis-a-vis Iran.".... ohhh is that why we are in Iraq?
".... we've got to deter other countries from feeling they have to acquire nuclear weapons. You can't go to the Saudis or the Kuwaitis or UAE and others who have a legitimate concern about Iran and say, well, don't acquire these weapons to defend yourself unless you're also willing to say we will provide a deterrent backup.".... so, is that like saying, US and Israel who have never started a war and have never used nukes will protect you guys from Iran who has started how many wars now....(oops none)..... and what would you say to Iran to reassure them that they aren't in danger from...ohh I don't know...US or Israel...
"And we will let the Iranians know, that, yes, an attack on Israel would trigger massive retaliation. But so would an attack on those countries that are willing to go under the security umbrella and forswear their own nuclear ambitions....Therefore, we have not to have this process that reaches out beyond even who we would put under the security umbrella, to get the rest of the world on our side to try to impose the kind of sanctions and diplomatic efforts that might prevent this from occurring.".... so in other words... we need to force the region to see that US and Israel are really their friends and we need to convince the rest of the world that they need to see things our way too, unless they want to see MASSIVE RETALIATION......
Silly me...I thought US GLOBAL HEGEMONY was a NEOCON idea....

I want a President who can wrap his/her mind around these media and blog pundits and attacks, and this whole friggin' stupid game and can stand up and show it for what it is.
Someone really intelligent, who will also speak the truth and stand for true principles.
Our leading candidates are too caught up in popular opinion, media correctness and a host of other things (poll results, professional advisers...)
And at the same time, I fear someone is going to come along who, to some degree, appears to do just that, but is a fascist in populist clothing... Come along on a great media wave just as Obama is being blown to smithereens by the scandal that's going to hit him like fire from an ac130 gunship after he gets the nomination.
We are sliding into Hell, and future historians will justly say we deserved it.
A great moment in history being met by moral and mental midgits.
