Just a head's up: You gotta read Brad Friedman's latest on Rove's vote-suppressing buddy Thor Hearne and his fake group, the American Center for Voting Rights. Brad has found evidence that the Mighty Thor (a high-powered lawyer) lied on a tax form. To wit:
The ACVR did not try to influence legislation? That's like Britney Spears claiming she never had a haircut. The whole point of the group was to get photo ID laws passed which would depress votes among poor people.
There's more. See Fired-Up Missouri here and TPM Cafe here.
Interestingly, now that ACVR has gone bye-bye, its domain name was bought by a do-gooder lawyer who makes sure that anyone who tries to go there ends up here. Clever work!

see? the corruption is simply ubiquitous! yet they wouldn't mess with the numbers? yeah, like vegas, they wouldn't.
I like that ACVR web site bounce/re-route to the Brennan Center for Justice. That lawyer who anticipated the availability of the ACVR address - should be in the House or Senate. We need more progressive people who think on their feet and act quickly - that way we can politically leap and stay ahead of the Fascists.
