The revolution will not be televised

The government of Venezuela has decided not the renew the broadcast license of television station RCTV due to the station's involvement int he coup against Hugo Chavez:
RCTV exhorted the public to take to the streets and overthrow the government and also colluded with the coup by deliberately misrepresenting what was taking place, and then conducting a news blackout.
Seems to me that if an American television network encouraged or aided an attempt to overthrow the United States government, non-renewal of a broadcast license would be the least drastic outcome.
