A former Republican congressman from Pennsylvania, Joseph Michael McDade (who served between 1963 and 1999, and who looks like Captain Kangaroo), has been charged with displaying Little McDade to a woman and a child at a Holiday Inn poolside. I suppose partisans might find some Schadenfreude in this. One should also note that McDade was, by modern standards, a very moderate Republican who opposed NAFTA and GATT. In the 1990s, he faced bribery charges, which were eventually dropped.
Are the current charges a set-up? Or is this just another case of a Republican "displaying his shortcomings"? (Yes, I borrowed that line from the inimitable David Niven -- and brownie points go to any reader who recalls the occasion on which Niven said those words.)

ha! easy: while giving out an oscar in the early 70s, a naked man streaked across stage behind him. i think the flasher was also flashing the peace sign? in any case, niven commented in his characteristic dry deadpan something about how the poor guy could only get a laugh by stripping down and exposing his shortcomings.
something like that. he got more laughs than the streaker, natch.
excuse the obvious puns, but i like my brownies with nuts, thank you.
I think McDade looks more like Alan Hale, Jr., than Bob Keeshan — which would also set you up for a "Little Buddy" joke.
