Vote Notes, 8:25ish

dr. elsewhere here

CNN just called the first of the 15 House seats the Dems need to take it: Democrat Brad Ellsworth is projected to beat John Hostettler in Indiana.

Oh, I hope this is the beginning of the tsunami.

As per my previous post, though the TV coverage is pretty good on the numbers, I'm a little concerned that they're not giving much attention to the glitches and suppression issues. I mean, for cryin' out loud, armed men are intimidating Hispanics in AZ! A poll worker in KY attacked a voter. WTF!?!?!

And YES!! Menendez has been projected as the winner in NJ!! That one was key; Dems could not afford to lose it. And he beat Tom Kean, Jr. And OH has been projected for Brown.

Bodes well. So far, no really bad news.

Cardin is ahead in MD (Yay!) And it looks like the only subgroups in which Steele was a favorite was with the men - particularly high school education 20 something white boys earning 75-100K. Hmmm. Not sure how it's possible. Eyes may be tired...will look again...

Oops. Cardin is behind in total, but of all the subgroups - Cardin is ahead in every single one except white male high school eductated 75-100K. Who are those people?

Nevermind. Cardin is now ahead again. I'll quit while I'm ahead. Except to say, this is clearly a race between the informed v. the uninformed, the educated v. the undereducated. And it seems the Republicans are the undereducated and uninformed. Sad.

Whew on Cardin, thanks.

For fun, I was just looking at who (if anyone) Katherine Harris was able to "connect" with during her campaign. Looks like: White Conservative Cubans earning upwards of 150K. Ever the eye-opener these polls!
