A few interesting points to come out of exit polls, which appear to show Dems taking eight Senate seats.
One that is particularly interesting is the fact that these four issues rank highest for voters polled today: Corruption, Terrorism, Economy, and Iraq. In roughly that order, but also with roughly about the same percentages. And evangelicals are ranking corruption as their top issue, and have dropped their Republican loyalty about 20%.
One great ray of hope: CNN has already called the OH gubernatorial for Strickland over our good buddy, Kenny Blackwell. Likewise, it does look like his FL counterpart, Katherine Harris, has also bit the dust. Two Secretaries of State who threw two national elections just got a solidly in-your-face message.
I'm actually pretty impressed with the coverage at both CNN and MSNBC. I'm toggling back and forth, and it's better than they've done in the past. However, they are all downplaying the problems with the voting machines and voter suppression. Even Howard Dean. Don't know what to make of that, except that perhaps they don't want to discourage folks from going to the polls. Hopefully the tune will shift once the polls are all closed.
And, chuckle, Tom Brokaw just noted the "fed up factor;" "folks are just fed up."

Looks like Santorum is going down. Bob Casey is the projected winner for Senate.
While I'm pleased at Santorum's projected defeat, Casey is a veeery moderate, Catholic democrat who opposes abortion rights. He is a very traditional democrat in other ways though, and has openly opposed the invasion of Iraq.
