Moore Wisdom

dr. elsewhere here

It is with particular and pointed contrast that I submit this post directly after noting the decidedly UNwisdom of one Richard Perle.

Michael Moore, who has been notably quiet and low-key of late, has written a typically direct but caring letter to our conservative brethren that everyone should read.

He pretty much says it all on the topic; 'nuff said.

[A special hat-tip to my good friend DW; thanks so much for sharing.]

SOme of what Moore has to say amounts to gloating. But he makes a couple of stabs at genuine fairness, especially when he calls for quick action against Democrats as well as Republicans who act in a corrupt fashion.

That is a big difference between the two ideologies. Conservatives tend to see the world as a gigantic football game: Yards gained, enemies defeated. Liberals, at least the best liberals, want to see the establishment of fair play.

agree, anon, on the fair play part.

as for the gloating, i'm actually not offended by that. for chrissake, our prez pulled that nonsense on the abe lincoln, replete with codpiece, and then called the razor thin "won" (NOT) in 04 a freakin' mandate.

gloating in the face of that much hubris is, i think, allowed.
