We live in an exploitation movie

I woke up this morning with the title of a can't-miss exploitation film seared into my mind:

"ANN: SHE-WOLF OF THE RNC!"

Here's the pitch: An ultra-skinny, leather-clad, crucifix-wearing, chain-smoking blond bitch runs a megachurch with a secret underground detention center. In this camp, she maniacally tortures Muslims, intellectuals, atheists, pagans and other "fifth columnists." Her headquarters has a secret room where she keeps a shrine to her severed penis. You get the idea.

As I started to research the plot (not that exploitation films need much plot), I came across this story from last February, about the real American concentration camps now being constructed.

And then we have this story from the Washington Post, which tells us that the Bushies have already compiled a list 325,000 "terrorists" to fill those camps. Note the Post's sub-head: "Rights Groups Say Database May Include Innocent People." Some of us still adhere to the quaint notion that, absent a fair trail, everyone is innocent.

But of course, that idea represents pre-911 thinking. Habeus corpus is now a thing of the past. We must destroy freedom in order to preserve it.

Suddenly, Ann: She-Wolf of the RNC doesn't seem so funny any more.
