Still on the "Path"

Max Blumenthal continues to do the web's best reporting on the origins of The Path to 9/11. In today's installment, we learn about the invovlement of Lt. Col. Robert "Buzz" Patterson, the anti-Clinton propagandist turned anti-Kerry swiftboater.
Today, Patterson is a board member of Move America Forward, a right-wing group that mounted a PR campaign claiming that Saddam Hussein did indeed have WMD's, and falsely claimed a photograph that was later revealed to have been taken in Turkey was a snapshot of a Baghdad pacified by US military forces.
So who ordered this project? Two big clues: Writer Cyrus Nowrasteh reports that "This project was generated at ABC at the highest network levels." And:
Patterson told WorldNetDaily a week after meeting with Nowrasteh that he received a personal phone call from ABC senior vice president Quinn Taylor.

Joe, go to the Max Blumenthal link and scroll down to the third comment there. TheOracle surmises that bin Laden is already caught or dead and will be unveiled as an October surprise. With strong supporting logic. You think?

joe, googled quinn taylor, and this interesting piece came up on patricia heaton's site:

interesting for presenting the project as based on the commission report and for being 'stranger than fiction.'

knowingly lying. that's all it takes to sue.

one thing is right about the movie according to my CIA friend... Bin Laden was catchable. He was cornered UNDER BUSH and LET GO according to my CIA friend- maybe the fantasy is placing the scene only in the wrong adminstration. I am referring to the tribal areas in Pakistan when the CIA was working with the tribal peoples back about three years ago.

Having read "Buzz" Patterson's book, "Dereliction of Duty" back in 2003 I know his slant on Clinton.

"DoD" was an insipid hit piece, but what I found telling was on page 139 of "DoD" Buzz said he had read a PDB in 1996 - a security violation IMO - which talked about the Operation Bojinka plot.

So the fact that Airplanes could be used by terrorist as weapons was widely known within the intelligence community and the Executive branch years before Condi said, "I don't think anybody could have predicted that they would try to use an airplane as a missile, a hijacked airplane as a missile."

"As you read the report, you're going to have a pretty clear idea what wasn't done and what should have been done," he said. "This was not something that had to happen."
