Vote news: It's happening AGAIN!

EMERGENCY! They are robbing Cynthia McKinney's vote at this writing:
DIEBOLD ELECTRONIC MACHINES MALFUNCTION, VOTE FOR OTHER CANDIDATE

(Decatur) After one hour of voting, the McKinney campaign has received numerous calls that the voting machines are malfunctioning. Voters casting votes for McKinney are reportedly having their votes switched by the machines for Hank Johnson. This is not a new problem with Diebold machines. Lawyers for the campaign have been alerted and said that If this situation is not corrected, Cynthia McKinney for Congress will be forced to take additional measures.
A McKinney representative confirmed for me that these reports have been coming in all morning. By every account, votes for Congresswoman McKinney have "morphed" into votes for Johnson. So far, nobody has heard one anecdotal report of an intended vote for Johnson turning into a vote for McKinney.

Odd how that happens, eh...?

I encourage you to tell everyone you know what is going on. We need to shed as much light on this situation as we possibly can, as fast as we can

MUST READ: Brad Friedman interviews RFK Jr. An excerpt:
HAVA was written specifically to require the states to buy Diebold machines. I mean one company basically had control of the whole legislative process. That's why HAVA has a provision in it that discourages vote verification by paper ballots. Both Republicans and Democrats tried to reform the HAVA, saying of course we should have paper verification of the vote. Paper verification would allow you to go in, make your vote on the electronic machine, and you get a receipt that is a copy of who you voted for and you are allowed to examine that receipt. You deposit it in a locked box in the voting area. That way, if there's ever any question, if you need to count, you can count the papers, and see if it compares to what the machine says.

But Bob Ney fought tooth and nail against that provision because Diebold made a machine that does not provide a paper ballot. And he went so far, because Diebold contributed a million dollars to an organization that purportedly protects the rights of blind people. And in exchange for that, that organization got one of its officers to testify on Capitol Hill at the HAVA hearings, that blind people in America did not want paper ballots - voter verified ballots - because it would deprive someone of the right to vote secretly. Now the other organizations that support handicapped rights and rights of the blind, do not take that position. This was a position that that organization adopted after accepting a million dollars from Diebold. The whole operation was corrupt and now Bob Ney is going to jail for it.
Hearings? The head of the Democratic Party in San DIego has asked for hearings about those notorious "machine sleepovers" -- which allowed all-too-hackable voting machines to rest in the homes of private citizens.

Sumamabitch! I knew this would happen. McKinney cannot be allowed to continue to challenge the war party-even her own. And of course it's Georgia, the land that supposedly bought the idea that Max Cleland was unpatriotic and ousted him in favor of the chickenhawk Sackso'shit , er I mean Saxby Chambliss.

Sorry for the expletives, I'm feeling particularly @$%&&#!!!! today.

RFK-HELP!!!!

Nobody cares.

She has already been painted as a crazy-ass by the media.

So long, Cynthia, but it beats getting Wellstoned.

Hi....

I did the interview with RFKJr... if you look closely you can see that...

(Joy and Tom Williams)

I'll email RFK about this.

Forgive my hastiness. I'll be frank -- I went directly to what the man had to say and sort of skimmed past everything else.

If voting really 'counted' then the US gov't would have taken it away from us a long time ago. The US gov't violates our rights with impugnity by caging peaceful protestors, forcing Amazon to drop the book "America Deceived" by E.A. Blayre III and wire-tapping ALL phones without a warrant. So they would not hesitate to take away voting. Therefore, voting does NOT matter.

It's time for a Boston Tea Party, only this time the Diebold riggable machines should be trhown in the nearest body of water and ceremoniously sunk. It needs to happen everywhere, and perhaps a few crooked election officials should be thrown in after the machines are sunk.

Why waste the materials of the machines? I'm sure they'd make good weights for the politicians... or maybe good stones... it's been a while since we've had a stoning. :)

MCKINNERY HAS WON!

REED HAS CONCEDED DEFEAT!!

CATHY COX, THE DEM (?!) SEC OF STATE WHO MADE THE DIEBOLD DEAL AND COULD NOT BE BOTHERED WITH CONCERNS ABOUT THEM, HAS LOST THE GUV PRIMARY TO LT. GUV MARK TAYLOR, WHO WILL RUN AGAINST THAT AMUSING BUSH WANNABE, SONNY PERDUE!!

happy ending to a potential nightmare.

a littel more skuttlebutt on reed's history in GA.

seems he moved to hotlanta after leaving the christian coalition (under a cloud of questionable financial practices there), started up a consulting firm and helped the campaign of one shandalaka, who ran a really nasty campaign (presumably with reed's help, though he denies doing anything illegal), accusing mark taylor of abusing drugs. taylor sued him, shandalaka settled for $50 grand, and then went on to serve six months for lying to federal investigators about public corruption.

nice story, eh? how do these guys get away with all this stuff for so long??

is this our cue to blame the media?

is this our cue to blame the media?

doc, I never need a cue to blame the media. I blame the media!! so there.

I am nearly giddy with the Reed AND McKinney news.

darn.

it appears mckinney may face a runoff after all.

someone needs to look into this guy hank johnson. or else see if the repugs had a hand in making sure mckinney would not be running against their guy.

hm. seems hank johnson is black and a former dekalb cty commissioner who resigned his post to run against mckinney, saying her constituents have had enough of her shenanigans. there is a report that she failed to show up for a debate with him and the third contender. johnson drives a white ...some kind of pickup, with a sign saying 'boot mckinney' on it.

pretty sad that that's all i can get, but there it is. complaints about cynthia may be legit; her level of national vocalism does stir discomfort.

oh, those inconvenient truths....

Don't believe everything you read
about Rep. Mckinney.

Here's a sampling of the questions
she asks:

"Is it policy of the US government
to reward companies that traffic in
women and little girls?"

She asks about the Pentagon's
missing $2.3 trillion (announced by
Rummy 9-10-01).

She asks for information about four
simultaneous wargames that took
place on 9/11 and disrupted the air
defense.

Here's the video. Watch Rummy
squirm.
