The geniuses in question are Michael D. Evans -- author of The American Prophecies: Ancient Scriptures Reveal Our Nation's Future -- and Mark Hitchcock, author of What Jesus Says About Earth's Final Days. If you want a whiff of a typical Evans product, smell this:
Is America in prophecy? Yes, it is. In a nutshell, here is how the United States fits into Bible prophecy. America has married two brothers, both descendants of ancient Abraham, who was told by God to get out of Ur of the Chaldees (modern day Iraq).

Here's the part I don't understand: Evans is one of those Israel ueber alles types who feel that, in order to avoid God's wrath, America must become "literally indistinguishable" (actual quote) from Israel, the one nation which can Do No Wrong. Evans scored a major berth on Fox even though Saudi Prince Al-waleed bin Talal now owns a huge chunk of the network, controlling not only voting shares but -- to an increasing degree -- content.
The Prince could have had Evans canned with one phone call to Rupert Murdoch. Something strange is going on here.
As for Hitchcock: Even the Fundamentalist Fruit Loops reviewing his book The Second Coming of Babylon have noted the basic flaw with his theory that the leader of "Babylon" (i.e., Iraq) will be the anti-Christ. After all, who is running Babylon now? As one Amazon commenter put it:
Our fair and balanced land is the Beast you obsess over blindly. We are the return of Babylon. the evidence is everywhere around us. Our lovable liar of a leader is the final antichrist, but you love him too much for that to even be a possibility for you.Let's hope that meme gets a little more play among the loons who tune in to FOX.

You keep asking the question but not re-butting the theory. I mentioned an article by Johathan Cutler "The Devil wears Persian" twice now but have not gotten any opinion from you or others. This article discusses the theory that Arab Countries such as Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Egypt who are a- friendly with US and b- mostley Sunni are afraid of the rise of Iran and Sheite Islam (and their own rebelious population) in the ME. It asserts that by joining forces ( condemnation of so called terrorist status of Hezballah) with Israel, they might be able to destroy Hezballah (the only Sheite group) and in turn deliver a blow to Iran. This would explain the Saudi Govnt's initial statement against Hezballah (along with Jordan and Egypt), though tru pressure from clergy it has backed off now. It also would explain your current dillema of why the Saudi Prince would allow the so called "expert" on FOX to state such a fact. It could serve the immidiate purpose of weakening Hezballah and Iran and preserve their seat of power. It could also explain the recent video from Al Qaida which offers to join forces with Hezballah against Israel. The broader theory is that Iran is the real problem in the ME for the US and one way of non-millitary confrontation is to stir up local anamousities toward Iran by highlighting the Sunni-Sheite rift (it really is not just religous alone but goes back to the invasion of Iran by the Arabs at the time of founding of Islam and forcing Iranians to become Muslim. Iranians later allied themselves with Ali who was a rebel agianst the ruling Islamic heads and created a division in Islam (Sheite) which has lasted to this day. The historical significance is more Iran versus Arab in the form of Sheite versus Sunni than just a religous disagreement). This theory might explain the situation in Iraq as well. The Us seems to have ignited the Sheite-Sunni rift on purpose by first giving support to the Sheites and further angering the minority Sunnis who were in power under Saddam and even staging some bombing and killings to sart a civil war in Iraq. The end goal seems to be the weakening of Sheite and therefore Iran as a power base in the region.
I am not sure the plan if this is really the plan is working, but I'd like to hear what you and others think about the theory.
Actually, I think you are on to something. I am increasingly freaked by the way anti-Islamic rhetoric has, in recent weeks, morphed into ainti-Shi'ite rhetoric. Propagandists have increasingly tied Al Qaeda with Iran, even though Osama is a fierce Sunni (and thus very much opposed to Iran), and even though the 911 hijackers were Saudi and Egyptian.
I also think the Sunni-Shia conflict may be at the root of what's taking place in the ME. I've believed for some time that the Saudis, Israelis and the US conspired in the events of 9/11 via a terrorist front organization called...al Qaeda. Osama is a Saudi. Al-Zawahri is an Egyptian. The U.S. was a primary supporter of Osama and the mujahedeen in Afghanistan while Reagan and many of the current band of neocons were involved. The U.S. was a major supported of Saddam against Iran during the same time period. These relationships run deep...as does the deception.
There's often a fine line between coincidence and conspiracy. Whatever the case, I believe there is far more than meets the naked eye when it comes to the doings of the past 5 years. And much of it is buried deep in deception, illusion and propaganda.
I'm certainly not a conspiracist by nature, but my generally rational thought process leads me to believe that something is grossly amiss. And that the ultimate truth, which very well may never be revealed, is beyond the comprehension of most people.

Back when the cold war was still on(Reagan and before)the US promoted Islam as a deterent to Communism since Communism dismisses religion off hand in countries like Iran where most dissedent groups had definite left leaning idealogies and some had strong ties to the Soviet Union. However the Muslim clergy were also not too happy with the US and it's policies that they saw as decedent and consumerist. But they were judged by the US to be easier to control than the lefty groups.
In Saudi Arabia, Islam was also promoted since the ruling Saud family allied itself with the clergy and allowed them to have a tight reign on the population as long as they left the Saud family in charge and the arrangement worked well till the arrival of the US troops and personnel before the first Gulf war when people like Osama started making anti American noises.
In Egypt, the anti government groups from the begining were Islamists and were kept down by forceful means under various ruling parties.
It is ironic that the only country(in the ME) friendly to the US at the time that actually managed to overthrow it's goverment was Iran, and the fact that the emerging ruling party was Islamist was a shock to even Iranians, since the majority of the dissedents were not religous. You could say that Khomeini hijacked the movement and used religion to unite the masses.
This victory was copied by groups like Hezballa and Hamas and later Taliban. That gave birth to Islamism as a way of uniting the masses to fight the dictatorships that were mostly US backed.
I guess before Khomeini, the US used Islam as a detterent and figured that it is less dangerous than Communism and once Khomeini let the genie out of the bottle it was too late to contain the movement, and Communism isn't even a threat anymore.
Iran's clergy never considered Osama's group a legitimate Islamist movement and niether did Hezballa or Hamas. You have to remember the real aim is to overrthrow local tyrannies (case in point is Chechneya) and not terrorism for the sake of terrorism or even neccessarily against US. After 9/11 Iran's goverment and other so called Islamic movement all denounced the attack. Osama has chosen to take the US on as oppose to taking the Saud family which is still backed by the clergy.
It seems that the US has decided that the best way to fight Islamism is by exploiting the internal differences among Muslims by starting a civil war in Iraq and getting Israel to attack Lebenan and blaming Hezballa for it. Getting muslims to fight with each other could divert their attention from the real aim of fighting the tyrannies they oppose which is usually their own puppet governments. The only exception is Israel, which is the only country that this rule doesn't apply to. Israeli problem is not about idealogy or religion, it is about land grab and resources and the asymtrical nature of capabilities.
As for your assertion about Osama and 9/11, I don't know if is true or not, but the fact is that he is not a real factor and was made into this boogyman after 9/11 mostly by the US.
I wrote this ten years ago before Saddam was "temporarily" (I predict he will be returned to power soon to bring a semblence of order to Iraq..as preplanned)), a ward of the State (United State of Global Fascism, or NWO, in its single pronged attack on America by the Busheviks). In 1978 Saddam Hussein started rebuilding the ancient city of Babylon. (Where is the notice in the press and especially the Christian Press?) All that was there was the rubble of ancient ruins. Hardly anything remained of one of the seven wonders of the ancient world. The Hanging Gardens of Babylon were an amazing and beautiful attraction of the once fabulous empire that ruled the ancient world. Saddam Hussein has offered $1.5 Million prize to any Iraqi who can devise a plan to irrigate the gardens using only the technology available in ancient Babylon. "The president has signed an open check to reconstruct the ancient city and revive the marvelous shape it had before the Persian aggression which destroyed it more than 25 centuries ago.

Scholars are studying archeological data and other information from ancient Sumerian and Babylonian writings in order to make sure Babylon is restored authentically. The German archeologist Robert Koldewey excavated the ruins at the turn of the century between 1899 and 1912 and carried off most of whatever was of any importance or beauty. The blue glazed bricks of the famous Ishtar Gate decorated with fancifal dragons and bulls are now in the Pergamon museum in Berlin. The great black stones of Hammurabi, on which are written one of civilizations first known law codes, now reside in the Louvre in Paris. Hussein's government has petitioned to have the original opbjects returned, but so far they have not.
Old policies have always ignored the status of Babylon when they created psychological and scientific barriers between Iraqis and their leaders in ancient times. No one has ever mentioned the achievements of "Hammurabi" the founder of the first organized sets of law in human history. Or Nebuchadnezzar, the national hero who was able to defeat the enemies of the nation on the land of "Kannan" [Caanan] and to take them as prisoners of war to Babylon. What we need now is to increase awareness in this regard.

Nebuchadnezzar was the only Arab ruler ever able to lead Arab armies against the Israelites and defeat them in battle. That is Saddam Hussein's ambition, to lead his army in battle against Jerusalem. He has huge murals depicting Nebuchadnezzar looking over Jerusalem, the city in siege, in his successful invasion over two thousand years ago.
When Mrs. Jaafar, the archaeologist was asked if Iraqis considered Mr. Hussein to be the new Nebuchadnezzar", she laughed and replied,
"of course!" Among Arabs, King Nebuchadnezzar is remembered as much as anything for the fact that he three times conquered Jerusalem, carrying tens of thousands of Jews back to Babylon.

Babylon will be a great city again, so says the Bible. The Bible mentions Babylon over two hundred eighty times, and many of these references are to the future city of Babylon. A city that will play a prominent part of "the Day of the Lord" finale to history as we know it . (this was said through the prophet Isaiah more than two thousand years ago "The Lord will have compassion on Jacob; once again He will choose Israel and settle them in their own land...They will make captives of their captors and rule over their oppressors...On the day the Lord gives you relief from suffering and turmoil and cruel bondage, you will take up this taunt against the King of Babylon: How the oppressor has come to an end! How his fury has ended!...All the lands are at rest and at peace; they break into singing.

When Babylon is ultimately destroyed, Israel will finally be at peace and will dwell in safety. Israel has been a nation again since 1948, when that part of the prophecy was fulfilled, but not for one day has the nation of Israel known real peace or ease. It has never been able to claim the lands God promised them and her Arab neighbors have been a constant threat to them. So the last part is in the future. I believe the near future based on what I'm about to reveal: Eye and the Bible that is.

Hitler Fancied himself a religious leader of the Christian and non Christian world he planned to conquer. "I'm going to become a religious figure. Soon I'll be the great chief of the Tartars. Already the Arabs and Moroccans are mingling my name with their prayers."
Hitler had many agents stationed in the Middle East during the second world war. Many powerful and influential businessmen, politicians, and religious leaders. The grand Mufti, the religious leader of the Moslems in Jerusalem, collaborated with Hitler during the war. In a letter to Von Papen he congratulated Hitler in his struggles against the democracies asnd "International Jewry." It concluded the Arabs, "confidently expect that the result of your final victory will be their independence and complete liberation, as well as the creation of their unity, when they will be linked to your country by a treaty of friendship and collaboration.

Saddam Hussein was born in the tiny village of Tikrit in Iraq in 1937. The same tiny village the greatest muslim warrior of the twelfth century, Saladin, was born. Saladin's capture of Jerusalem in 1187 caused the third crusade. Though Saddam attended secondary school in Baghdad and law school in Cairo, his real education came from the crowd of zealous revolutionaries he hung out with, and an even stronger influence was his uncle that raised him, Khayrallah Tilfah.
During World War II, Khayrallah was an agent for Hitler, and in 1942, tried to lead a Nazi coup in Iraq, but was quickly subdued and imprisoned by the British. He later wrote a book entitled "Three Whom God Should Not Have Created, Persians, Jews, and flies." Later in life Khayrallah Tilfah arranged for Saddam to marry one of his daughters. After Saddam rose to power he appointed Khayrallah Mayor of Baghdad.
The Baath Party, with Saddam Hussein at its head, has many simularities to the Nazi Party under Hitler. The party was formed to promote an extreme form of Pan-Arab Nationalism. The parties goal is to unify the Arab people and elevate them as a race. The Baathists are close to the Nazis in spirit because they believe in the idea of polticial authority being the instrument for the rise of the pure racial nation.
The glory of the Arabs stem from the glory of Iraq. Throughout history, whenever Iraq became a mighty nation, so did the Arab nation. This is why we are striving to make Iraq mighty, formidable, able and developed.

A few weeks after becoming president of Iraq in 1979, Saddam executed some of his closest friends and fellow members of the Baath Party much like Hitler did before him, to consolidate his personal power in Nazi Germany.
WhatI'm suggesting is, that Iraq today is a current version and extension of the Nazi version of Fascism (one of many throughout the world, see most oligharchies and military dictatorships, and now the current administration of criminals) and that Saddam is in fact a clone and puppet of tthe International Fascist movement, (New World Order), designed and created by Hitler to fulfill his ambitions of world conquest. Saddams role on the world stage makes him an extreemely important player to watch.
The rebuilding of the City of Babylon has a unique place in the prophetic calender of events predicted in the Bible as part of the coountdown to the Day when the AntiChrist bursts onto the world stage to amaze and electrify the world as peacemaker, economic wonderworker, military genius and religious miracle worker, with powers at his fingertips impossible to have achieved in the past. With the advent of computerized electronic warfare and computer assisted decision making based on the statistical near certainty of population sectors' reactions to specifically engineered "perception management" scenerios emboldened by tramatic events, he will have all the powers necessary to manipulate and control the masses through a centrally located "headquarters". Space platforms for the surveillance and intimidation of the population centers of the world,are waiting for the activation signal to announce his reign. Access to unlimited wealth and the industrial might of the multinationl corporations interlocked through csartels, secret csabals, and monoplies, will provide him with their resources and wealth, in exchange for his authority and personal political power working in their behalf. Secret societies producing trained assasins acting under the rubric of religious fanaticism (google banna nazi), to eliminate any dissident voice or non-cooperator, will provide the secret police and Gestapo to ensure complience throughout the citizenry All these paradigms combined into one giant octopus with its' One Head bent towards the total control of the world, will soon become appearant as the prophetic timeclock approaches the appointed hour.
One symptom of the disorder plaguing the human race is the disease of "ultra-nationalism" or "superpatriotism," that has spread throughout whole nations as a plague. A plague that induces human beings to conform to the rigid stereotypical values of a power elite.
The disease is spread by the "spin" doctors and lawyers and policy makers of the industrial giants of the world, for the strictly economic purpose of creating a slave underclass of laborers and consumers to service their machines, shine their shoes, and defend their shores.
