They faked us into war

Justin Raimondo has a source which has confirmed a rumor previously discussed here: An Italian parliamentary commission has issued a report naming the forgers of the Niger uranium document. The finger points to war-lover Michael Ledeen (of course!) and former CIA spooks Duane Clarridge and Alan Wolf.

Clarridge, indicted for his Iran-contra machinations, was CIA station chief in Rome when Ledeen first showed up there to hobnob with fascists and spooks and other unsavories. In other words, Clarridge ran Ledeen.

Fitzgerald, it seems, has received a copy of this report -- and James Moore argues that Fitz will pursue those leads.
