We owe a debt of thanks to Max Blumenthal and Jim Moore for reminding us of a point I should have mentioned earlier. Michael Ledeen -- who, I am persuaded, helped to create the Niger forgeries (plus a lot of other mischief) -- has a close alliance with the Pentagon's Harold Rhode, chieftain of the neocon circle at the Pentagon. Rhode was John Hannah's boss.
Fitzgerald has turned Hannah, and (according to one report) has a copy of the Italian Parliamentary Commission report naming Ledeen. All of which should give Fitz a peephole into Evil Central.

joe, there is a second source for the italian report going to fitz and for rhode's roll.
check out justin raimondo's latest at antiwar.com. and if you haven't already, read his previous piece on this, near the first of this month.
(sorry i don't have the links, but my power went down at home, i don't have that bookmarked on my laptop, and i'm hoping my battery will hold out!)
given the revelations from the italy report, i suspect fitz may well extend the grand jury.
lll
If anyone hasn't seen it yet, and wants to go through it... Fitzgerald has a website. Not too revealing so far, but good for future reference.
