The client revealed! (Multiple updates)

Avenatti has revealed the name of his client:
Here is a picture of my client Julie Swetnick. She is courageous, brave and honest. We ask that her privacy and that of her family be respected.
If only. Nobody respects anything these days. Within two hours, we'll be hearing nonsensical conspiracy theories about the Soros/Swetnik connection.

Her story is here.

Basically, she says that she was raped.

She says that this crime occurred after someone slipped "Quaaludes or something similar" into her drink. She also says that there are individuals who can verify her story.

This is the most serious allegation against Brett Kavanaugh that anyone has levied so far.

This declaration answers the question I raised in a previous post: Avenatti does indeed have a triable case. I'm not sure that he can win, because I don't know if he can prove that the drink was, in fact, drugged. The insecurity on this point explains the wording of his original questions. Also, if she was drugged, then how can she be so certain that Kavanaugh was among the rapists?

Whatever you may think of Michael Avenatti's absurd presidential ambitions, he has introduced us to a very important witness. Of course, many will make "blame the victim" arguments against Swetnick. Example: "If she knew what was going on at these parties, why did she keep going to them?" But any argument that she gave consent cannot be reconciled with Kavanaugh's claimed virginity.

Update: Kavanaugh has responded, claiming that he knows nothing about this woman. He calls the allegations "from the Twilight Zone."

Update II: Trump called Avenatti a "third rate" lawyer. That's not so bad, considering the fact that Trump is a 45th rate president.

Trump said that Avenatti specializes in "false accusations," to which Avenatti responded:
“False accusations?” Like those crimes your fixer Cohen pled to?
Touché! Or, as Trump might put it, tooshay. You should check out Avenatti's feed: Obvious Russian plants are ganging up on him, and on Swetnick.

Lindsey Graham's response is pretty damned infuriating:
I very much believe in allowing people to be heard. But I am not going to be played, and I’m not going to have my intelligence insulted by the Michael Avenattis of the world. I will not be a participant in wholesale character assassination that defies credibility.
In other words, Graham can't offer a counterargument.

The "creepy porn lawyer" meme is getting HUGE play all over Twitter right now. Since Donald Trump actually had sex with Stormy Daniels, wouldn't it be fairer to call him a "creepy porn president"?

Let's publicize that sobriquet: "CREEPY PORN PRESIDENT."

On a related note: Corroborating witnesses have come forward to back Christine Blasey Ford's story. I think we can now state conclusively that her claim against Kavanaugh is not a recent concoction.

This article explains why Trump is so intent on putting Kavanaugh on the Supreme Court, even though any other president would have changed horses by this point. The crux of the matter has noting to do with issues like abortion; it's all about Russiagate and Trump's instinct for self-preservation.

On an unrelated note:
There have been massive breakthroughs in Russiagate research. Remember the Russia scandal? Sure, sex has a way of distracting us from all other concerns, but we can't ignore this or this. Basically, we're learning a lot of new information about the Seychelles meeting. It's hard to see Erik Prince as anything other than a damned liar, especially when he claimed that he did not represent Trump, even as he was arranging for Russian investment in the U.S. The Jared Kushner connection is just as troubling.

Getting back to the Swetnick: I don't have the time to run her declaration through OCR, so I'll just reprint a jpg here. This image may be more legible than the ones available on Avenatti's twitter feed.

Julie Swetnick doesn't accuse Koathanger Kavanaugh of rape. She states she saw him in line outside the bedroom where the gang rapes took place and only that he was present when she was attacked.
That in itself is enough since he stated he never attended that kind of party.
Tho only scary part is Michael Avenatti said his client will take a polygraph test if Koathanger does. I can't believe he is doing this w/o having her take one before going public.

"Swetnick alleges that she was a victim of a gang rape, and that Kavanaugh and Judge were “present” when it happened — though she does not explicitly say that they took part in the alleged attack."

Thanks for the updates, Joseph.

Especially for the link to Natasha Bertrand's piece at The Atlantic.

He can try to jimmy, jigger, hacksaw all this legal stuff all he wants. Mueller, et al are smarter than he and his team are by orders of magnitude. So, while we may not see all of the most optimal charges due to the deep corruption of the federal courts, I do think we'll see some justice for Dotard.

Joe: The first link in the "this and this" pair isn't working.

What an era we are living through. I try to hold on to as much optimizam as I can hold onto, but I feel tackled everyday.
The fact is that a fool can dig a hole that takes a hundred heros to climb out of.

Hmmm..."optimizam"...

Looking at the fool digging a hole reminds me of how the great Democrats Roosevelt and Churchill must have felt in the late 1930's. Beginning the taskk of persuading nations that weren't interested.

Here in the US, we need to wake up to the sad fact that as Liberals, we have been steadily losing a stealthy, slow motion Civil War since Reagan was in office.

I like to think in practical terms. Sooner or later, sooner being the optimistic view, people will notice that letting the greedy, worthless rich decide everything is bad policy and strip them of their power by seeing that laws are equally applied to them and by taxing them. That's why they hate and fear Liberals so much.

See my latest, Missy. Before the day is out, I'll either be proven right or I'll be subjected to a massively messy egg facial. I prefer the egg.
