The FBI’s Counterintelligence Division is looking into the role far-right news sites including Breitbart, InfoWars and the Kremlin-backed RT might have played in Russia’s influence campaign during the U.S. presidential election, McClatchy reported Monday.Would Russian trolls have any reason to communicate directly with Alex Jones? I doubt it -- unless AJ were paid by foreign sources, and no-one has made that suggestion. Maybe Vladimir Putin bought a lifetime supply of AJ's super-studliness pills?
Automated computer bots strategically deployed unabashedly pro-Trump articles, which often contained falsehoods, from those sites on social media at moments when Trump’s campaign was flagging, anonymous FBI sources told McClatchy. The probe reportedly is looking at whether those publications willingly coordinated with Russian operatives in promoting their stories.
Here's a more interesting hypothetical: Let us suppose that a Russian really did communicate with AJ, giving him directives as to what sort of stories to run. What laws have been broken?
Christo Grozev just tweeted:
As i've said before, i never understood why breitbart had Russian search engine tags in its code.It did? (Does?) First I've heard of it. I can't find that claim anywhere else on the internet.
Ivanka and Wendi. Here's an interesting thought: What if those girly-girl get-togethers between Ivanka and Wendi Deng (who denies being Putin's girlfriend, even though many people continue to say that she is) were a cover for Trump-Putin coordination?

Just because he's paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get him.
