Bee stings; Stone broken

WOW.

Samantha Bee skewers both Roger Stone and the BernieBros who hate Hillary so much they would rather see Cruz or Trump become president. Not only that: There's even a guest appearance by Alex Jones, looking maniacal as always, just to remind us of the sheer nuttiness of Trump's entourage.

Someone should put Bee on teevee five days a week.

The world is finally noticing that Stone is the creepiest human being since the Zodiac killer. If you want to see examples of the kind of racist and sexist insults that have caused Stone to be considered persona non grata on teevee, here ya go.
Stone labeled one CNN commentator an "Entitled Diva Bitch" and imagined her "killing herself," and he called a then-CNN personality a "stupid negro" and a "fat negro."

Stone is a notorious "dirty trickster" who recently co-authored The Clintons' War on Women. The 2015 book is dedicated to -- and cites research from -- a Holocaust denier who blames a "Jewish plot" for the 9/11 attacks.
That'd be Victor Thorn. By the way, the aforementioned book was written with Robert Morrow, Stone's comrade-in-creepiness. A tweet from Morrow: "Victor Thorn is a great friend and expert on Clinton/Bush Crime familys, JFK assass and USS Liberty. Proud to be buddy."

Propagandists have repeated that "Clinton/Bush crme family" canard so often that many ignorant young people now believe that the clans have actually intermarried. They haven't. They have no connection whatsoever. By the way: I know who is who in the JFK assassination research community, and I've yet to encounter a single responsible researcher who has one kind word to say about Victor Thorn. He has contributed nothing.

Also see here. Even conservatives cannot tolerate Stone.

Elsewhere: Jamie Boulle has written a surprisingly good article on the 1994 Ominibus crime bill. Although Boulle tries too hard to avoid offending the BernieBots, he does note -- rather too late in the article -- that the increase in incarceration of African Americans resulted not from that federal law but from a wide variety of state laws. He notes that Sanders voted for the bill and even sought ways to make it more far-reaching. Boulle also informs his readers that the 1994 Omnibus Crime Bill was supported by most black leaders of the time.

Anyone who talks about the 1994 Omnibus Crime Bill without mentioning these key facts is a propagandist. Boulle is not in that category. Unlike the BernieBots, he does not rewrite history in order to brainwash ignorant young voters.

Boulle and I may disagree on a few small points -- for example, I do wish that he had pointed out that the Congressional Black Caucus pushed the bill forward. But overall, this is an excellent piece, and I am always happy to recommend the work of an honest commentator.

There are so few left!

What about the Arkansas rural airport that allegedly was used to smuggle drugs. Clinton did not start that but after promising to investigate it, it appears someone from the Bush clan got to him and he backed off.

I remember during the nineties when stone started to be in Fox news all the time, he was telling story that Bill Clinton was hitting on his wife. The funny thing the way he was telling it seemed like he was using his wife to bait Clinton. And for some reason Bill didn't take the bait. He is creep and not very bright.

Alessandro, there have been a lot of lies about the Mena airport -- and the biggest liar was a spook named Terry Reed. (Spooky guys facing jail time told a whole lotta whoppers throughout the 1990s. I called it the "Three R" problem -- Reed, Riconosciuto, Russbacher. But we're not going to go into all of that history here.) These fibs were pushed hard by the Wall Street Journal opinion section, which was a toxic waste dump -- very Roger Stonian. They were also pushed on the left by Alexander Cockburn and that whole "Nation" crowd.

For the straight scoop on Mena, the person you want to talk to is Charles Black, the Arkansas prosecutor who mounted a case against Barry Seal. When I spoke to him, he was still furious -- at the Bush administration for blowing the FEDERAL prosecution against Seal.

The case was a huge, expensive thing, the state had limited funds, and Bill Clinton was careful to preserve his rep for fiscal responsibility. So he let George do it. I don't blame him for that. I blame George Bush's Justice Department for not using a lot of the evidence that Black had gathered.

THAT was what Black could not stop talking about, when I spoke to the guy. Yet the right-wing media never quoted him about the federal case. The right-wingers pretended that there never was a federal case!

At the time, the righties has spread all sorts of stories that Clinton was cognizant of and had somehow profited from the Mena operation. I ran some of these allegations past Black. He scoffed at them.

Well, he would have KNOWN, right?

Bottom line, I don't believe any of the crap that was printed back then about Mena. That interview turned me around.

And you know what? I could not get the interview published anywhere. Back then, you could get published easily only if you had something anti-Clinton to say.

You don't really want me to list some of the fanatic supporters of the American Revolution, do you? I don't put fanatic in quotes by the way.

Well, yes it's kind of hard to say 9-11-2001 was a specifcially Jewish plot when Saudi Arabia is in alliance with Israel, its media trying to frame Iran for it, and the US government and Israel both complicit in hiding and diverting from the truth.

see also Raimondo's "Terror Enigma" establishing a role for every party EXCEPT Iran, Hillary's broad support for Israel also putting her in the mix for the revenge/LIHOP attacks.

Shame on me but I do support Sanders. I do occasionally write nasty comments on Guardian pieces which seem unreasonably negative on Sanders. I don't wish to proselytize. And I recognize how obnoxious others may come across in proselytizing their support.

My reasons for supporting sanders are that I agree with his policies, particularly on Healthcare and Wallstreet. But also because I wish to drag the Democrat party left. It had moved to far right over the last 40 years. Same in the UK.

It's worth noting that I do not vote in America. I'm British. I probably won't vote their either but if I did I would vote Corbyn and sorry Corbyn.

I wanted to explain my views as a Sanders supporter, but also a long time reader of Joe's blog, and someone who had valued his voice.

The US sends a destroyer armed with cruise missiles to 70 nautical miles off the Kaliningrad coast. Russia responds by sending two warplanes to within 1000 metres of the US vessel, making 20 passes at an altitude of about 100 feet. An unnamed "US defence official" said the incidents were "more aggressive than anything we've seen in some time", as he rushed to the toilet.

NATO would want to take Kaliningrad fast in a major conflict with Russia in Europe. And they'd fail.
