High incomes equal longer life spans. Says so right here. Doesn't this mean that Social Security is a transfer program from the poor to the wealthy? After all, wealthy people are around longer to collect those checks.
I had better not make that point too often or too loudly. The libertarians might make obstreperous use of that thought.
