"I call upon all of you to wage a second American nonviolent revolution, to use civil disobedience, and to demand that this president leave town, to get up, to put the Quran down, to get up off his knees, and to figuratively come out with his hands up," said Larry Klayman of Freedom Watch, a conservative political advocacy group.I call upon Larry Klayman to lean over, shake his head, and dislodge the rocks from the confines of his skull. Here's the part that wowed me:
A group of mostly Tea Party protesters waving the Confederate flag...They waved a Confederate flag at a WWII monument? Interesting. These people have a very odd view of history.
The difference between the Confederacy and the Third Reich was...what, exactly? If we allow any elasticity at all in our definition of fascism, then I would argue that Jeff Davis ran the first fascist government.

In this country, fascism is the elephant in the room.
Surely they know exactly what they're doing, waving the flag of the confederacy of slave states at an African-American president?
Or maybe by taking over a WW2 memorial, they just mean to call for the re-establishment of the racial segregation which operated in some parts of the US armed forces during that war?
We are still a segregated nation. We are segregated by income, ideology, party affiliation, news sources and worldview.
We have a President that is only black in skin color and a party (tea party) that has only shed the white robe and hood.
The Confederate flag is not about north and south or the civil war. It is a symbol of digging your heels in and denying logic.
