Okay, it's official...

The CATO crowd wants its own party. The propaganda beginneth. Notice how this outrageous CATO propaganda is carried not by FOX but by CNN.

Ayn Reich, Ayn Volk, Ayn Fuehrer!

Actually, there's a "Fuehrer" shortage at the moment. The Kochs, Peter Thiel and their brethren are the leaders behind the scenes. What they need now is a front dude. I'm thinking Steve Forbes, but feel free to offer your own suggestions.

Let's address one sentence from the Koch mouthpiece:
The problem with the Democratic position is that it regards redistribution, rather than economic productivity, as the prime goal of government policy.
No. Democrats -- the few true Democrats left -- see economic productivity as the goal. The only way to achieve that goal is to reverse the economic mal-distribution which has been siphoning money from the poor to the rich over the course of the last ten years. Unless working people have money in their pockets, they can't buy things. If they can't buy things, the economy gets stuck and stays stuck. The only way to get the economy unstuck is to rob the wealthy who have robbed from us. Take the money at gunpoint (if need be) and then use it to create jobs. NOT TAX CUTS, NOT DEBT REPAYMENT: JOB CREATION. That's the only way to get the engine running again. That's the way we got out of the Depression of the 1930s; that's the only way we'll get out of this one.

Chile, Russia, Somalia, the U.S.: Libertarianism has done nothing but destroy country after country. Libertarianism = Satanism. It is the most purely evil concept ever devised by the mind of man.

Steve Forbes is an old fart. Attractiveness matters. How about dreamy looking Randian, Paul Ryan for Fuehrer?

Wow! Governments are structured for redistribution in order to have a civilized society...have citizens forgotten this? Today it is the corruption in the government that needs to be rooted out.

The rich need the poor to be rich. If you make all the peons too poor they all leave for a brave new world. How do you think the west was won?

Anon, I believe the Preamble to the Constitution of the USA says it all.

Every time I read it I can never establish the intent to promote the seven deadly sins as virtuous. Seems to me the concepts of justice, domestic tranquility, liberty, general welfare, forming a more perfect union and ensuring the common defense are counter to the concepts of an economic free for all that divides the country and pits the rich against the poor.

The Tea partiers and the Libertarian fools have all forgotten that the only reason to form and maintain a government and a society is to enhance the lives of the people. All people. This isn't some medieval Kingship featuring slaves and serfs where the poor and downtrodden are only valued for their ability to serve their masters and die in bloody war.

We have a democratic republic designed so that every person gets fair and equal treatment. It is why we enacted civil rights legislation. It is why we have SS and Medicare and Medicaid. It is why we pay for the care of invalids, the mentally challenged and why we have Welfare programs. It is why we have comprehensive public school systems. It is why we pay taxes. I guess the Libertarians and extreme right wingers will never understand this.

I don't know Joe, I think I'll stick with organized religion as the most evil concept (of course religion was designed by Satan, so you might be right).

Must you insult Satan, Joseph? Yes, he is bad, but not as bad as a Libertarian.

Those idiots in the House need to be rounded up and jailed for treason. Same with the Koch brothers and their ilk (and their assets seized).

These people are anti-American and have no business in office or influencing politicians.

The last 30 years have made it clear that government is the only solution to all the problems we created by treating government as the problem.

Of course, conservatives and libertarians will never see this. They just say tier ideas were never really given a fair chance and go on truckin'.

The problem isn't the nut bags, it's "news" outlets like CNN, MSNBC, Fox, New York Times, and the Washington Post that gives them an air of legitimacy.

If the print and broadcast media people had behaved in an ethical way back in 2000 instead of trashing Al Gore at the behest of their corporate masters the tragedy of 911 might have been thwarted or at least mitigated and we wouldn't be in Iraq.

After all the misery they helped bring about, how do these "journalists" sleep at night?

"Norquist traveled to several war zones across the world to help support anti-Soviet guerrilla armies in the second half of the 1980s.
He worked with a support network for Col. Oliver North's efforts with the Nicaraguan Contras and other insurgencies,
in addition to promoting U.S. support for groups including Mozambique's RENAMO and Jonas Savimbi's UNITA in Angola
and helping to organize anti-Soviet forces in Laos.[12]"
