Let's get scary

P.J. Crowley, spokesperson for the State Department, was fired for denouncing the harsh treatment of Bradley Manning. Greenwald has written a powerful piece about this ghastly situation. But I think David Frum got it partially wrong when he wrote "Crowley firing: one more demonstration of my rule: Republican pols fear their base, Dem pols despise it."

A better formulation: "Republican pols fear their base. Dem pols fear the Republican base."

We gotta learn to be scary.

Dem pols soil their adult diapers every time a republican coughs.
Joe, you had a suggestion to send shoes to the White House as a symbol of contempt for this president. I have a better idea, make an on-line donation to a republican running for office and forward the email receipt instead. If you get mailed donation request print out the receipt and return it in the prepaid envelope. If you want to cut out pictures of shoes from a printed catalog and stuff them in too, so much the better.
