Axelrod said left-leaning Democrats should not let their "feelings" about Lieberman keep them from working with him to pass a bill, and warned that it "would be a tragic, tragic outcome" if Democratic senators vote against the legislation, as Dean is encouraging them to do.Pressed for further details, Axelrod cryptically added: "It is by will alone I set my mind in motion. It is by the juice of sapho that thoughts acquire speed, the lips acquire stains, the stains become a warning. It is by will alone I set my mind in motion."
"We're on the verge of doing something that would make an enormously positive difference for people," Axelrod said, adding later, "I don't think you want this moment to pass. It will not come back again."

Maybe he ISN'T the Kwisatz Haderach...
David Axelrod (who has probably come to hate being called Barack Obama's Karl Rove) calls Democrats who oppose health care mandates "insane," even though Obama himself campaigned against mandates.

ps. Link Exchange???
Axelfraud is the one who is insane.
What does his mind in motion have to do with anything?
"It will not come back again"?
Was it ever here?
So....
Does that mean that the "Kool-Aid" could have been laced with.................SPICE?"
Every time a progressive fails to goose step, a puppy dies...or the uninsured. (i miss "the terrorists win")
Sappho juice stained lips? O-K.

It's a pleasure to find other fans of Frank Herbert. Dune has always been one of my favorite books.

I knew Axelrod in his almost daily [God, it seemed like it] appearances on WTTW days. I'm glad to see he's gotten some help with his nervous hair flicking tic, but whatever drug he's using for that psychological flaw seems to have made him Bat-Guano insane.
His obsessive curiosity/use of peoples/candidates sexual peccadilloes to gain personal power over them certainly is worth some investigation. At some level, I would describe Axelrod as a sociopath. I'm loathe to give Rove a pass, but compared to Axelrod...Rove looks relatively sane.
When Edwards went to Axelrod, I thought he might wind up being consumed by Axelrod's little "black book" operation..as it turns out, he was. Axelrod had no reason to drop a dime on Edwards, the guy was out of the race and had endorsed Axelrod's creature. Axelrod and his latest monster are a marriage made in hell. When I look in Axelrod's eyes I see Satan's.
Is Axelrod quoting the script of Dune?
WOW, the Mentat Mantra... So Axelrod believes he's a Mentat? LOL... or is that you putting the truth into his mouth... excellent!!
For you folks that haven't figured out the quote, see this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mentat
Actually, Axelrod is probably proud to be compared to Karl Rove. He carefully studied the guy's methods in getting a know-nothing cretin elected president.
And succeeded to do the same thing.

Is Obama a Harkonnen? That would explain a lot.
He sure ain't no Mentat.
"The Sleeper must awake!"
Rove would never let his party commit political suicide the way the Dems seem determined to do under Axelrod. I think Rove is an evil genius whereas Axelrod misses the "evil" part.
Yeah, he also got an unqualified sociopath to the presidency--but Rove got his guy re-elected. I doubt Axelrod can do the same.
