Osama Bin Laden, or someone who sounds very much like him, has released a new recording urging Barack Obama to butt out of the "hopeless" Afghan conflict. How convenient. Recent polls indicate that the public has turned against any further American involvement in Afghanistan. At this point, the only person who could sway US citizens in favor of Barack Obama's more pro-active Afghan policy would be -- Osama Bin Laden.

Good point. But, hahaha. I don't think anyone's gonna rally round Brand Zero but the Obots.
After all these years of not really influencing anyone you'd think Tokyo Rose Laden would just give up and enjoy his retirement.
This seems as phony and contrived as Bush's wonderfuly timed Orange Alerts. Amazing how Osama Bin Forgotten shows up when they need him.
I believe OBL died when reported in the Arab press, roughly December 2001 to early 2002.
That would indicate these messages are done with voice-morphing technologies (publicly disclosed about 10 years ago), or old recordings creatively spliced to say what is required.
