Andy and Zsa-Zsa

You may have known this long ago, but I learned about it only just now: Andrew Breitbart -- the rising conservative superstar who "stung" ACORN -- is also a good friend to Ariana Huffington. He helped to set up the allegedly progressive Huffington Post. Does anyone else out there know more about their relationship? I never did trust "Zsa-Zsa"...

Wikipedia says that Breitbart grew up in Brentwood, which tells me a lot. In Brentwood, the police can arrest you for not driving a Mercedes. Although he is married (to the daughter of Orson Bean!), he has described himself as "Matt Drudge's bitch." He's also obsessed with Hollywood scandal. Hm.

Added note: Okay, I'm going to allow myself to say this, even though expressing the following sentiment opens me up to charges of envy.

The blogosphere is supposed to be the great leveler, yet the money and the contacts still go to the "Brentwood bitches" of this world. One of those bitches became rich and famous despite a lack of any discernible writing talent -- a trick he accomplished by running a fake news wire filled with pilfered copy, to which his bitch buddy Matt Drudge routinely linked. Meanwhile, the blogger who grew up "over the hill" in working class Canoga Park has to rely solely on his ornery self.

I first recall seeing/hearing of Zsa Zsa when she was out stumping on television to help her conservative GOP husband win a Senate seat.

After Michael H. lost he came out of the closet and Zsa Zsa took her divorce settlement and turned progressive/libertarian/political dilettante/idle rich.

What's not to like?

If not-so-Breitbart bothers you, think about this:

Frank Rich and MoDo get paid megabucks (with generous vacation and benefits) to excrete 80-90 columns of mindless crap a year.

That's about 1/6th the output you produce and your dog Bella could write better stuff than they do.

Joseph...you asked- and you shall receive....here is an article by David Corn in the SF Examiner (orig in the Nation) dating back to 2000, when Arianna or Whorianna (as I think is more fitting) was re-branding herself.

In the article - Corn (shame on you David Corn-you are such a tool) explains her wonderful evolution to all and he quotes Arianna's long time researcher, Breitbart. I am guessing that he is a key to her re-branding plan, and he was on her team from the good ol days of the grand ol party:

Andrew Breitbart, a former Huffington researcher, has a slightly different take.

"People who say something bizarre is going on with Arianna have not been paying attention to her writings of the past few years, which contain serious looks at social problems. Her focus and diagnosis are left-of-center, but she is interested in trying to find solutions that rise above the right-left system."

Here we have an article dating back to 1998, which was when Whorianna was still known as a conservative:

One of Drudge's best friends, Andrew Breitbart, who works as a researcher for conservative commentator Arianna Huffington, says the establishment media hates Drudge because "he gets at the heart of what's going on. At what point did the journalism profession become so elitist they can tell people who can and cannot be members of the club?"

So sure enough- Drudge hired Breitbart away from Arianna, not the other way around...good spin though huh?

and just because you asked...;-)
