Tom Vilsack, the new Secretary of Agriculture

An emergency message from the Organic Consumers' Association on Obama's choice:
While Vilsack has promoted respectable policies with respect to restraining livestock monopolies, his overall record is one of aiding and abetting Concentrated Animal Feeding Operations (CAFOs) or factory farms and promoting genetically engineered crops and animal cloning. Equally troubling is Vilsack's support for unsustainable industrial ethanol production, which has already caused global corn and grain prices to skyrocket, literally taking food off the table for a billion people in the developing world.
-Vilsack has been a strong supporter of genetically engineered crops, including bio-pharmaceutical corn:

-The biggest biotechnology industry group, the Biotechnology Industry Organization, named Vilsack Governor of the Year. He was also the founder and former chair of the Governor's Biotechnology Partnership.

-When Vilsack created the Iowa Values Fund, his first poster child of economic development potential was Trans Ova and their pursuit of cloning dairy cows.

-The undemocratic and highly unpopular 2005 seed pre-emption bill was Vilsack's brainchild. The law strips local government¹s right to regulate Genetically Engineered seed.

-Vilsack is an ardent support of corn and soy-based biofuels, which use as much or more fossil energy to produce them as they generate, while driving up world food prices and literally starving the poor.
Good thing neither Hillary nor McCain won. They would have chosen someone who was in the pocket of Big Ag. Now we have Change. As in Plus ça...

But Michelle wants her two daughters to eat organic food. Of course, the Obamas can afford to buy organic. As for the great unwashed and their children, I guess the Obamas think Frankenfoods are good enough.

more change we can believe in? NOT!
do you think many obots are connecting the dot on this one? not likely. not until the produce and meats available at their precious Whole Foods markets are even more compromised than they are now, which is only a matter of time. america created poisons for the whole world to consume and the chickens will eventually come home to roost.

bwahahaha!!!

And in other teeth-gnashing news for Hopium Huffers with Hangovers (HHH's) the man delivering the Inaugural Invocation for Obama is....a pro-life Homophobe!

For your amusement, go see it dawn on John Aravosis that maybe, just maybe, Donny McClurkin wasn't a fluke!

"Gee, maybe Donnie McClurkin wasn't a fluke. Picking Rick Warren to give THE invocation is abominable. I'm doing my research and will be updating this post in a minute.

"Rick Warrens eats with gays

"But hey, Rick Warren says being gay isn't the biggest sin (gee, so just how much of a sin is it, Rick?), and he's actually eaten dinner with gays. How white of him."

Once again, Obama proves that if you throw enough money at him, his "progressive" ideals get thrown under the bus.
