Something about a hurricane?

Still Nibbles...

These photos of the recent damage done by Hurricane Ike are worth a gander.  I like the one with the alligator.

WOW!

I can't help but think of those poor people that lost everything to this storm.
My Parents retired to San Antonio and I was very worried about them. But they were far enough away from the coast that the effects of this Hurricane did not affect them.

But I have family that lost everything in Galvaston. Terrible!

Fantastic photos, each one! Thanks for linking to this. My SO is working in Cuba (fortunately made it through fine) so I have a personal thang going with Ike. I loved all of these.

Houston looks like hell.

Thanks for the link, Joseph.

I expected to see the same small photos usually printed on websites. How nice to see such high-quality, large images for a change.

Photo #24 shows caskets scattered around The Hollywood Cemetery. Bluesman Clarence "Gatemouth" Brown's casket was one of those caskets that popped up from the ground and was carried away by floodwaters. None of the reports I've seen so far have mentioned if his casket has ever been located.
