"There's still time for an upset - I keep telling myself."

Jen here...

A contributor named Twilight posted this in our comments' section recently.

I confess (against all logic) to harboring similar sentiments.  One of the only reasons I'm planning to watch convention coverage is to see if the Democrats really and truly go forward with this fiasco of a ticket.

Anybody else?

Oh yes.

I think I basically gave up praying of the "Please Mr. God, make so-and-so happen." somewhere around 11-12 years of age, but there is a soft tape of that sort running in a deep part of my mind quite a lot these days.

There is, I think, a reasonable argument with not-to-shabby premises to be made that Clinton can get it.

But popular thinking, which to a large degree is shaped by the cartel media and press is a sadly powerful force... and it's backed up nowadays by the too pathetic state of academia and our educational system (I hate saying that because there a lot of damn fine people working in there too, but against incredibly nasty forces coming at them from almost every direction.)

People are starting to wake up to reality, but we need a breakthrough. Seems to me that breakthrough has to happen in the minds of some people of influence and power; if it happens, they'll get support so fast it'll make our heads spin. The tide will turn.

All we useless eaters can do is grasp every opportunity we can to put our shoulder to the task.

And pray.

An upset is putting it mildly. Most people aren't aware of other things that Obama has been involved in. These issue aren't for the faint of heart. When they surface it'll be earth shaking and would be expected to have a long lasting effect on many things which purposely have been muted. As they say everything has it's own time and this appears to be something of the same. From what I know, this is very complex and convoluted. Unfortunately we were only given a glimpse or two from the Rezko trial but I know it to be huge. I'm not happy about my youngest son being involved with Rezko. I fear he may be in too deep and if so, afterwards he may destroy his future if he doesn't get out before the crash. My ex-wife's family is extremely involved in so many criminal things it would make your eyes bug out and they bragged about being a CIA Asset. They also knew Obama starting back in the 90's when they started with making Obama a TEAM member.

Everyone is going to be totally shocked and surprised.

Hi Jen - That was me!

I'll watch the Convention too, but even when it's over, "O" crowned and sanctified, I'll still be telling myself "There's still time for an upset". I'll visualise "O" being led away, handcuffed, and Biden taking over with HRC as his VP. ;-)

It's a slo-mo trainwreck and I have no intention of supporting it with my vote, but I doubt it will be stopped at the convention. The SDs are up against a political machine with the ruthlessness of Tom DeLay. If the SDs want to retain their offices and live peaceful lives, they'll go along to get along. Thus have things always been and always will they be.

Twilight, thanks for that. Dunno if your comment is sarcastic or not, but I prefer to think otherwise.

ugsome, I agree about the machine, but your, "Thus have things always been and always will they be," is not correct. And where it leads is not a good place.

and just dig in anywhere that catches your fancy; or try the stuff on Lincoln if you can't find anything that grabs you otherwise.
