McCain fever...catch it.

Jen again...

While stuck in traffic behind a mini-van with an old Gore sticker on it the other day, a strange thing occurred to me.

I haven't seen a single McCain sticker, sign or t-shirt anywhere in my area yet.

I do live in the somewhat Democrat-friendly wilds of Western Oregon, so perhaps the lack of visible support for McCain is more about demographics than anything else, but I wanted to ask our readers what the climate looks like for McCain where they are.  Is it as dismal as it seems to be around here?

Hi Jen,

Austin, Texas checkin in.

I hadn't really thought about it but you're right, I don't think I've seen anything here.

The closest i came was at the county convention over the weekend where some poor constable is running for re-election and his last name is McCain so there in the Democratic County Convention was a huge RE-ELECT MCCAIN sign which had us cracking up.

I live in NYC and there is no chance that McCain will win here. But I do wonder what will happen if the Obamabots steal it from Hillary, as she is the "favorite daughter" here. Also heavily Jewish, the only wine-and-cheese demographic that doesn't swoon for Obama. I wonder why.

New Jersey, dunno. Lots of "garlic noses" there.

Upstate NY Saratoga here...
even in areas with those STILL unapologetically parading their shrub/cheney 04 stickers on their pickups and Cadillacs I cant recall seeing any McCain support stuff round here...~Brian S.

Deep South here. I've only seen Ron Paul signs, flapping in the wind....

I've had no McCain campaign material sightings here in the Fort Lauderdale area, or in Broward County.

Deep South here also, but the only metro area in the country where real estate values continue to increase. Also Ron Paul lawn signs, nothing McCain. They'all HEARTS they tax cuts here. And they private schools too. And pulled pork. Slaw on everything except sweet tea. We got a Trader Joe's!

Mmm. Again the deep south, and again, only Ron Paul, except for one Huckabee a while back.

Nope, no McCain signs here in PA. But I do see Ron Paul signs, and recent ones too! Perhaps Pennsylvania is Ron Paul's firewall.

Nothing McCain in Kansas City.
Lots of Ron Paul yard signs.

heads up: If dems get a look at senator John Mccain record as a pilot…

I think Mccain could crash and burn the whole Republican party this November.

He gets a lot of passes because he was a pow, but his nickname from fellow naval flyers was “crash”.

He did trash 5 planes in total, but daddy was a admiral.
