On behalf of Californians everywhere...
...I would like to apologize for Diane Feinstein's announced support of Mukasey. Feinstein remains one of this state's most popular politicians. I'm not sure why.

Perhaps no longer. With liberal radio and bloggers making us all more aware of her "agenda." However, I fear she just doesn't give a d@mn about her Californians any more since she obviously will not have to run again. I've recently sent her two 'for shame' emails and got return nonchalant justifications. As if I were a second grader to be put in my place. Shame on her. fallinglady
call me paranoid, but I'm sure that in a lot of cases, "they" have blackmail material against them to manipulate their vote. No wonder they needed full power to spy on Americans, it was to "control" the democrats who won't go with the flow.
Otherwise, they send them Anthrax letter like they did with the Patriot act. I wonder when they'll learn who sent Anthrax letters to political ennemies of Bush...
I was living in San Francisco when she was mayor. In San Francisco at that time the repugs had lost all creditability. (Dan White). I think Feinstein would have run as a repug back then if she thought she could get elected. Never did think of her as a good dem.
It does not surprise me one bit about her vote. I was living in San Francisco when she was mayor. I could see then she was only interested in one person, herself. As mayor she passed some right wing issues that I did not agree with, and I could see that she was only interested in promoting herself.

She continues to astound. In my book, she is a DINO, at best. She clearly has lost any connection to SF that she may have had.

For a start, maybe because Bechtel has their HQ in San Francisco...?
