An arson conspiracy?

Well, it's official: The recent fires in Southern California were caused by arson. I just heard Governor Schwarzenegger on the radio vowing to unleash hell on the evildoers.

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of arson, although no-one seems to think that they caused any major fires. One of the suspects is John A. Rund of Hesperia, a desert community near the San Bernardino mountains. In a previous post, I point out that this same fellow has been known to guide hikers through the areas devastated by the 2003 fires.

Tonight, an enigmatic -- and anonymous -- posting on Craigslist has come to my attention:
FBI just announced they arrested John Alfred Rund, 48, for arson in just one of the fires in Los Angeles. Rund is a known member of the National Socialist Movement and the Minutemen, both known terrorist organizations. The FBI also announced they are looking for multiple arsonist suspects in what is being called the largest terrorist plot to hit California to date.
Now, an unsigned Craigslist post is no-one's idea of a reliable news source. At least one fact is provably wrong: The FBI did not arrest Rund; he is being held by local cops in San Bernardino County. And I have never heard of a terrorist organization called "The National Socialist Movement."

Can anyone find another source for this "Minutemen" rumor? Right now, the allegation seems very unlikely. What motive would that group have to commit arson?

On the other hand, one must recall this earlier story about the strange individuals who were spying on various northern California fire stations. That account does seem to hint at the work of a larger organization -- although, once again, the question of motive baffles. Why would arsonists videotape fire stations?

Interestingly, a hoax "news story" circulating throughout the net has blamed the fires on a very different party...
Radical Hispanic separatist organization MEChA ("Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlan") is taking responsibility for setting the wildfires in California, confimed Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger.
In reality, Schwarzenegger has "confimed" no such thing. Looks like someone has tried very hard to cast blame on Hispanics and/or immigrants.

I took "The National Socialist Movement" to be a general refernece to Nazis and Nazi-inspired hate groups.

Make sense?

The only listing I could find with John Rund and "Nazi" in the same listing (and applied to each other) was another Craiglist entry with not much to go on:

This one the Boston Craiglist. I don't know how they work, so I don't know what the chances are they would be the same guy posting.

Looks like that other CL post is just a guess, labeled as such. The CL post cited in my story may be mere hot air, but I suppose it could reflect information gleaned from TV or radio. That's why I brought the matter up in public. Maybe someone else heard the same thing.

Incidentally, I never heard back from the folks who were guided by Rund in 2004.

National Socialist Movement seems to be the chief competition of the National Alliance in the anti-Semitic white supremacist field.

I firmly believe that eventually (soon) the complete amd unvarnisehd truth will be told that the notorious III,(Idraeli,Illuminati International) will be exposed as the arsonists in the California fires.

First off: Tupac killed the Notorious Biggie. That war is over.

And aside from that-- that's only 2. Idraeli, and Illuminati International. What's the 3rd one? Please. The class is waiting...

A list of recent major Southern California fires...usually in October... and in an odd year before some type of election. :

Santa Barbara June 1990
Oakland Hills October 1991
Laguna October 1993
Topanga-Malibu November 1993
Cedar Fire October 2003
Old Fire October 2003
San Diego, Malibu October 2007

And here's a website that mentions the Neo-Nazi connection to AlQueda going back to the 1991 Gulf War. The article ties them into Iraq so it makes me wonder if the article is Neocon propaganda... definitely something going on between right Wing U.S. warmongers, Neo-Nazis, Muslim Brotherhood types, and Neocons/Israel alignments since 1991. Hard to tell what the truth is. Who's framing up who to get what they want.

anon 4:17 -- I think you may be right. A mutual frame seems to be in progress. I wonder what these people hope to gain?

Hi, I posted a blog about John Alfred Rund and the Craigslist posting. I have been trying to verify whether Rund was a Minuteman.

I found this article which talks about the FBI involvement. It was in a spanish paper and I am attaching the translated version.

http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=es&u=http://www.laopinion.com/supp59/%3Frkey%3D00071024204054086883&sa=X&oi=translate&resnum=1&ct=result&prev=/search%3Fq%3Djohn%2Balfred%2Brund%26start%3D100%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DN

Have you heard anything more other than his appearance in court? Have you been able to confirm the Minuteman connection?

thank you and you have a great blog!!

it appears that simcox agreed in 2005 according to the arab news

"But Al-Jazeera did not abandon the project, and finally negotiated an agreement with Simcox."

Then in 2006 they had a fallout.
All very strange.
