Biden's suggestion is a fine one. Let's make history with our cell phones.

But let's do more than that: Let us SCREECH TO IMPEACH. Kagro X offers a convincing argument over at the Next Hurrah: We need not investigate further, and we certainly need not bring the courts into the matter. We know all we need. The House has all the power it needs. Bush has no political capital, and very little public support. Nothing impedes impeachment hearings from taking place within the week.

So I say do not just call the Prez. Call your representative in the House. Call other House members. Call throughout the night -- leave messages. (That way the screener will not ask if you are a direct constituent.) Call the home offices in-state; you can find those numbers easily enough via Google.

Tell them to support Jesse Jackson Jr.'s call for Impeachment. Tell them to support Dennis Kucinich's bill for the Impeachment of Dick Cheney. Do not get bogged down in legalistic arguments about whether the Senate would convict. The Dems do not have a real majority int he Senate, true; but a mass movement can change minds -- and we do not want history to say that we did not do our utmost to re-establish the rule of law. Now is the time, as Shakespeare said, to imitate the tiger.
