Ok. I know this is just more of the predictable same. But somehow this one really takes the cake:
Our President has signed a directive that, in case of "catastrophic emergency" and in order to maintain "continuity of government (COG)" and "continuity of operations (COOP)," gives himself complete power over all branches of government, delicately renamed as "Enduring Constitutional Government," or "ECG," "a cooperative effort among the executive, legislative, and judicial branches of the Federal Government, coordinated by the President...."
There's more. Read it here and weep. You know you won't see in on the news.

I remember reading that cheney worked feverishly on COG way back when he was SecDef. I remember reading speculation that cheney kicked off COG plans on 9/11.
Perhaps we have King George, and Emperor Cheney?

yeah, i wondered ALL of that! and then some.
the thing that really shocked me (increasingly difficult to do with these guys), is that they now have a document up on their website, and bush signed the damn thing!
talk about big brass ones.
