Virginia Tech was NOT the worst

The record was set on May 18, 1927: 45 dead in a new school in Bath, Michigan, killed by a tax protester. Charles Lindbergh made his flight a few days later and pushed the story out of the national consciousness.

Of course, explosives were used in the Bath incident. I suppose we should file mad bombers in a category separate from the mad shooters.

Hey, thanks for catching that, Joseph. I knew the "worst mass killing in American history" line the MSM was throwing around was wrong, but couldn't remember the other massacre. Too many massacres to keep track of in our history.

I am a university instructor, a songwriter, and psychologist. I believe music is a great outlet for expressing difficult emotions and a powerful way of healing the psyche following events of this nature.

Here are a couple of songs of support for those who have lost loved ones in this terrible massacre. Sorry, I'm not the greatest singer, but I hope some people will be touched by the songs themselves:
