Poison DUst

The Iraq war casualty figures are worse than you think. Depleted uranium is killing returned soldiers -- slowly. Children born to veterans show the same birth defects suffered by Iraqi children. Gulf War II is, in a sense, a nuclear war.

An important new film called Poison DUst -- note the intentionally capitalized DU -- documents this tragedy. Go here to watch it. (If you prefer to download it to your system, find an appropriate Mozilla video downloader here.) I am presuming that the film is online legally; if not, then I encourage you to pay to see it.

BushCo does not want you to see this film. If everyone in the country knew the truth, recruitment would drop to zero. And keep in mind: This administration is doing everything it can to rob returning veterans of their benefits.

Joe, I believe in the dangers and harm of DU. However, evidently this is strongly disputed by the Pentagon and assorted right wing apologists, who claim there isn't evidence for its harm, say it's left wing extremists and dullards who believe such things, irrationally.

Is there any mainstream work on this issue? By which I mean, stuff put out in the peer reviewed scientific literature (JAMA, The Lancet, etc.), and not simply the press releases of Doctors without Borders, or Human Rights Watch, or Amnesty International? (Not to disparage those three organizations, to which I contribute, but they are not going to necessarily pass muster as neutral commentators).

Could it be, that this is just a more "economic" way to get rid of waste from the nuclear industries ?
See that Alamos labs -with the help of Carlyle- went -or goes-under the control of Texas University.
Likewise, by privatising the UK Military Industry, Carlyle through Qinetik got a stake there.
By the way, Dame Neville-Jones is on the Board of Qinetik and was on the Board of BBC international on 11.Sep.2001.
->just wildly speculating..

This is completely deliberate, of course.

What better way to ensure that, in the long run, no one's on hand to oppose Cheneyco's iron grip upon the great oil spigot that is their vision of Iraq....

But this is only one of many ways to "cull the herd" as it were in Iraq.

The running sewage, rotting public corpses and attendant cholera outbreaks are playing their part, natch.

Hamstringing medical services, etc., etc.

Whatever it takes to create a completely compliant, subservient populace so the oil flows for the Bushco cartel.
