Meanwhile, Defense Secretary Robert Gates bleats the lie that Shi'ite Iran is arming the Sunni insurgents. Of course, his "pretty good" evidence -- some vague crap about serial numbers -- requires us to trust the same administration which asked us to believe the Niger forgeries.

I know that Nigeria has taken in 728 billion in oil revenues since the mid-seventies, and poverty is much worse now that it was then. Which might explain why it has a strong rebel movement.
