The coming nuclear war

Larisa Alexandrovna and Muriel Kane provide the must-read stories: See here and here.
In early 2002, Ledeen formed the Coalition for Democracy in Iran, along with Morris Amitay, the former executive director of the American Israeli Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC).

In August 2002, Larry Franklin began passing classified information involving United States policy towards Iran to two AIPAC employees and an Israeli diplomat. Franklin pleaded guilty to the charges in October 2005, explaining that he had been hoping to force the US to take a harder line with Iran, but AIPAC and Israel have continued to deny them.
And:
By setting up the Iranian Directorate within the Pentagon and running covert operations through the military rather than the CIA, the administration was able to avoid both Congressional oversight and interference from then-Director of National Intelligence John Negroponte, who has been vocally skeptical about using force against Iran. The White House also successfully stalled the release of a fresh National Intelligence Estimate on Iran, which could reflect the CIA's conclusion that there is no evidence of an Iranian nuclear weapons program.
Exit Negroponte.

You should also read Leonid Ivashov's "Iran Must Get Ready to Repel a Nuclear Attack":
The most important aspect of the matter is that a zone of an endless bloody conflict will be created at the core of the Middle East, and that the countries neighboring Iraq – Iran, Syria, Turkey (Kurdistan) – will inevitably be getting drawn into it. This will solve the problem of completely destabilizing the region, a task of major importance for the US and especially for Israel.
And:
How will other nuclear powers react? As for Russia, at best it will limit itself to condemning the strikes, and at worst – as in the case of the aggression against Yugoslavia – its response will be something like “though by this the US makes a mistake, the victim itself provoked the attack”.

Europe will react in essentially the same way. Possibly, the negative reaction of China and several other countries to the nuclear aggression will be stronger. In any case, there will be no retaliation nuclear strike on the US forces (the US is absolutely sure of this).
And:
Speaking of Israel, it is sure to come under the Iranian missile strikes. Possibly, the Hezbollah and the Palestinian resistance will become more active. Posing as victims, the Israelis will resort to provocations to justify their aggression, suffer some tolerable damage, and then the outraged US will destabilize Iran finally, making it look like a noble mission of retribution.
Is there any way we can stop this?

Once the US engages in a nuclear war with Iran, you can bet your bottom dollar (if you have any money left after the upcoming grand finale depression) that martial law will also get declared and congress and the senate are instantly declared as superfluous.

some of the democratic leadership may be forced to leave the US if they want to stay alive, especially the female senators and congresswoman Pelosi.

We turn into some hybrid Burma/Mexico/chilean version of dictatorship.

my guess is the fireworks begin around March 15th. just a guess, my other guess is that the cheney neocons keep changing the "date" because it is taking alot longer to implement just like the start of the Iraqi war got delayed in 2002.

anyone else?

Joseph asks: "Is there any way to stop this?"

No.

You are all much too fatalistic. This is not a one-sided game. There are lots of Dems in power in Congress and many others outside Congress now on the offensive against the real axis of evil -- the fascist right-wing/neo-con elements in the govts. of US, UK, and Israel. What's more, there is a high profile trial going on at the worst possible time implicating Monkeyboy and Dick "Dr. Evil" Cheney.

No,we can't stop it. Have we ever been able to stop anything these freaks wanted to do?

Can we stop it?
Sure! It takes backbone...or rather the lack of(as in corporate money backing).
Who can stop it?
Citizens, pushing their elected officials....and I mean an elbow shove where it hurts kind of aggression(as in all out protest, and withholding votes).
Does the Iranian government represent the Iranian people?
As much as the American government represents the American people!
Can an attack of sorts dis-engage the Iranian government from the seat of power?
Did the Baatist followers of Saddam disappear?
So we all die and forget about it all?
Not unless we really mean to die and forget about it.
History is like the weather, not even the experts can predict what humans are capable of doing or achieving!

Bush wants to attack " all evil" in the world... including Iran and probably NK too. Will it happen??? hmmmmmm well I decided I want to go on record saying this. NO> based on the fact that the Bible itself says not. So let's see and maybe I will indeed be surprised.

Let's start by accepting the fact that the Dems are just as bad, if not worse, than the Republicans.

Let's also come to grips that Mossad did 9/11 and pinned the job on a bunch of dopey Arab drug smugglers in order to kickstart this whole mess.

At the top of your Google ads when I pulled this up was something for body bags. Yipes!

"Is there any way we can stop this?"

Sure... when Americans grow a pair and start throwing Iran-Contra nazi crooks in jail. And yes there is some major infighting going on between the fascists and anti-fascists, that's why you have the Libby trial and the president of Israel indicted on rape charges. These are apparently shots across the bow to warn the fascists that they better back down or people somewhere in the halls of power are going to drop the other shoe. There is are a ton of things these guys have done that can have them put away.

Most of you never cease to amaze me. When are you going to accept that the Democrats and Republicans are wings of the same bird?

And that's why I still I haven't rescinded my decision to quit. It'll happen in the latter part of February.

Oh yeah. That type of thinking has done us a LOT of good.

Aww, Joseph, don't go there, okay?
