Greenfield's Obama smear

I remain unsold on the proposed candidacy of Barack Obama. But the Republican hating points (they don't deserve to be called "talking points") on Obama have achieved a new level of absurdity.

Jeff Greenfield believes that photographs of Obama without a necktie mean that the senator must have some linkage to -- get this -- Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Apparently, Ahmadinejad doesn't like ties either.

Egads! It's a conspiracy! Obama will destroy us all!

Remember when the no-necktie look was associated with the Israelis? Greenfield should apologize for this pathetic, puerile nonsense.

I am surprised that J. Greenfield
was able to deliver that nonsense
with a straigt face, it is a new low from the repugs. Shows how nervous
they are of someone who seems to
be genuine and honest getting into
the race.

Repugs are also introducing Obama's middle name (Hussein), as if that somehow disqualifies him.

Truly, these people have no shame, it's literally beyond belief (and I mean that literally).

Although the lunatic idea that Obama will, could, or should run for president in 2008 continues to make me laugh, yeah, the neo-cons are grasping at straws at this point. Or rather, shadows that only they believe resemble straws. His necktie? Jesus.

Grasping at straws and shadows? Not at all! They know exactly what they're doing it.

These contemptible tactics are enough to throw an election when the country is more or less divided down the middle.
