Beyond irony: Donald Rumsfeld, Alberto Gonzales and former CIA Director Goerge Tenet may face war crimes charges in Germany.
In a related story, a Saudi lawyer representing Saudi detainees at Gitmo is making serious lawsuit noises.
At this moment, I don't know if the two actions are related. But things don't look good for the torturers. What we must do now is educate the American public about the detainees: Many are not terrorists. The Americans in Afghanistan offered a hefty bounty to any locals who would identify "bad guys." This ill-considered policy motivated impoverished villagers to cash in by fingering the least-popular guys in town.

The Germans should try them in Nuremburg.
Too perfectly fitting an end for this world but I can but dream.
Before trying them, they should find out what they know by using "robust interrogation techniques."
