Foley's freaky funds
I can't figure out Mark Foley's funding. The taxpayers are picking up the tab for his rehab. (Why?) Yet his campaign coffers were so overstuffed that he was able to donate roughly three-quarters of a million dollars to other Republicans. How did the Foley campaign become so well-heeled?

yeah, this kinda sucks, but it seems legit, if not morally reprehensible. i mean, the morally responsible thing to do would be to recognize how inappropriate this arrangement is, how bad it looks for the party and for the political system in general, and foot the bill oneself.
but then, how could we expect foley to NOT do the moraaly reprehensible thing??
what is FAR more reprehensible in my mind is the fact that ROVE is conduncting GOP campaign business from his office in the WH!!!
remember all the brouhaha exploding over gore's phone calls to a buddhist temple that was considered fundraising??
their rules only apply to everyone else, it seems.
and they call dems elitists!
