George W. Bush may now pretend that he never knew Mark Foley, but lukery has dug up some news stories indicating that Foley has been a Bush family friend since the early 1980s. In an earlier piece, I noted Foley's links to Mel Sembler, head of the notorious Straight program. Sembler and Poppy Bush have long been close.
Foley and W have things in common. Substance abuse issues. Maybe more.

You can bet your sweet ass (I am assuming Joseph Cannon does indeed have a sweet ass...if I'm wrong...sue me!) that Bush and the Foley Faction have a whole lot in common other than the Republican Party.
