Daniel Hopsicker has a
new piece up on Wolfgang Bohringer, identified by Mohammed Atta's girlfriend Amanda Keller as Atta's close associate in the days before the World Trade center disaster. After reading this piece I'm still not sure how -- or if -- Bohringer fits into the 911 puzzle, but no-one can deny that this fellow leads a life that makes yours and mine seem comparitively dull:
One of Mohamed Atta's closest associates in Florida before the 9/11 attack today carries a chest on his yacht filled with several million dollars in new bills, automatic weapons, passports from a half-dozen nations, and works for a major international Mobster.
That capital-M mobster, says Hopsicker, is one Victor Kozeny -- a figure straight out of a Brosnan-era Bond flick. He once controlled an astonishing amount of the Czech economy (I definitely need to double-check Hopsicker's claim here) and then made a bid to acquire control the oil fields of Azerbaijan.
Kozeny's partners in the Azeri scheme included a managing director of Hank Greenburg's American Insurance Group (AIG). Greenberg was forced to step down amid the Eliot Spitzer probe, a scandal, it is rumored, which involved a major Bush family and associates' international money-laundering operation that has spanned more than a generation and has been used to illegally fund US elections since the Nixon era.
So. Kozeny is an interesting man. His lieutenant, Bohringer, is also a quite interesting. How, one wonders, did he come to know Atta (presuming Amanda Keller's data is correct, as I believe it is)?

Gosh, now I wonder why a drug smuggler might have something against Jews. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that Mossad seriously screwed up a lucrative operation down in Florida by framing 19 of the Arabs who worked for him for 9/11. (Do a search for the "Israeli art students" who tracked all 19 of the hijackers if you don't know what I'm talking about. Also look in to the connection between Nick Berg and Zacarias Moussaoui, and some of Hopsicker's own evidence about how there were two Mohamed Attas, one of whom spoke Hebrew and listened to the Beastie Boys.)

just wanted to say I was the guy who wrote "FREE FALL SPEED" in your previous 9/11 article. Thanks for pointing me to the debunking site, I hadn't seen it before and I found it very helpful. I actually had never heard any alternatives to the free fall "fact."
I still absolutely 100% believe there was foreknowledge at all levels of our government. I mean, you have to be a really hard-core coincidence theorist to think nothing of the inordinate number of Put Options on the specific airlines that were used in the attacks are not significant.
The truth is somewhere in between the 9/11 Omission Report and Loose Change. I've changed my mind at least 3 times on the theory of bombs in the WTC and Pentagon, just to name one. But there are so many solid facts and unbelieveable coinkydinks that DO hold up to scrutiny, and these nuggets of disinformation grow like weeds. And they lose all their power when associated with Alex Jones and all of the "truth" sites which present every one of these murky theories as gospel.
I am still not satisfied with any explanation I've read regarding Atta's magical passport, the explosion in the basement of the WTC 10 seconds before the first plane hit, the 20-foot (+/-) hole in the Pentagon before the top floors collapsed....and I don't think we'll ever know the whole truth. But I do know deep down that this could not have been pulled off without foreknowledge among high-level officials in our (our one particular ally's) government.
Credibility counts for everything. The genuine 911 Truth movement needs to separate itself from the questionable theories and concentrate on what is undeniable, and there is plenty of that to go around. Recognizing disinformation is a key to gaining credibility.

You've misstated Hopsicker regarding the two Attas thing.
I've copllected every single story imaginable about the Israeli movers/art students thing (and even did some ground level checking of addresses here in L.A.). Definitely soemthing important was up there. But those 19 guys were not framed.
For god's sake, see '911: Press for Truth." In fact, if you see that film and "Screw Loose Change" in the same sitting, you will understand why I consider the pseudoscientific BS theories of 911 to be not just wrongheaded, but deliberate disinformation. Everyone's been asking what my own thoughts about 911 were -- just see "Press for Truth," and you'll have them. Not all of them, but that film is a great start.
In every scandal and parapolitical event I've looked at for the past twenty years, there is ALWAYS the official story (which is crap) and the "official" conspiracy theory which mysteriously receives a ton of publicity (and which is also crap). Somewhere buried between two mounds of crap is the truth.

Okay. Can I put in a request, then, that your next anti-9/11-movement post be about why you think Osama and the 19 are the real culprits? That's really the important question, and it's also the hardest part of the official story to defend, if you ask me. Like I've said before, even Hopsicker has uncovered absolutely no evidence that these 19 jokers were plotting to crash jets into buildings, despite years of intense investigations yielding a fairly detailed picture of what they were up to.

Fine, will watch them both soon and get back to you. Hopefully "Screw Loose Change" has lots of stuff not found in any of the "debunking 9/11" sites out there, because I've read through all of those and none of them come close to addressing the key claims regarding controlled demolition.

Agree completely on the conspiracy disinformation scheme. As I posted a while back, the best defense against serious investigation is to throw a bunch of "crackpot" theories out there just to taint, by association, any potentially legit theories. Such outrageous theories tend to bring scorn to the entire conspiracy meme, regardless of how plausible some might be.
