In a word: No. There is the very real chance that, if re-elected, Holy Joe (whom I have come to despise) will "rove" over to the GOP.
But no one race should receive all our attention. DK over at Talking Points Memo pulls up some figures indicating that politically-minded folk on the internets -- your obedient servant among them -- have largely ignored the races that can change congress. And our side needs to win every one of those contests.
From now on, instead of screaming at someone who might turn Republican, let's target some folks who already are.

There's no question that every race is an important one in determining the makeup of Congress over the final two years of the Bush administration. And that makeup may prove to be pivotal in determining the course of this country for some time to come. If the Dems can regain a majority in the House and Senate, things will get very interesting very, very quickly. If the Republicans retain their majority, then an attack on Iran will be inevitable...among other things. Things will get a whole lot worse before they get better.
Dick Morris - the pollster - said on Hannity's radio show several days ago that Lieb would win in Nov. and win easily. And in response to Hannity, said Joe would NOT jump to the "repugnicant" side. Irag, according to Morris, is about the only thing Joe and Bush agree on.
Gotta disagree, Joseph. Loserman must be forced out or defeated. I believe we can concentrate on other races, crush Loserman, AND chew gum at the same time.
