A reader tells me that the right-hand column of this page has been partially blocking the central text. Everything tests out fine for me on IE and Firefox, and a Mac friend tells me that it all looks great on Safari. Does anyone else have a readability problem?
UPDATE: I'm grateful to the readers for letting me know that the problem was more widespread than I thought. I made a few adjustments, and I hope things are better now.

Joe,
The problem is intermittent on my screen. It is there often enough to be annoying. Right now everything is OK.

No problems here on an ancient Mac laptop that is somehow running both OS X and IE 5.
I wish I could figure out
how to adjust my machine to
make the overlap stop
happening. I've tried
viewing on all levels
from largest to smallest,
to no avail. I'd really
appreciate any advice that
you could give as this is
my favorite blog.- C.A.
Also, if it helps,
I'm viewing it on
Windows XP.- C. A.
I don't see an overlap onto your written text, but sometimes onto items/images that you include.
That's on Explorer.
on internet explorer there was overlap when I went to specific post, using Windows XP. But when I hit refresh, it reloaded, first covering part of text and then adjusting itself over to the right.
Have not had this problem before now, and not when loading the whole blog from main URL
I've never seen a problem
The black sidebar impinges only slightly on the final characters of the longest lines. Ihave XP and am viewing on IE.
I've got XP and am "browsing" through AOL. Even these comments by readers are obscured by the sidebar headlines.
I'm using Windows XP and have never had a problem. Mine is a relatively new laptop though, maybe some older models have automatic format issues.

Yep, same problem - XP with IE
Thanks. I had to reduce my font size but now I'm back to the largest font for IE and all is well.
I have no problem with the format, but the whole site loads like the ups guy carrying a tv up four flights of stairs.
