About that dog-headed girl
A couple of posts down, I referred to the report (which I first read on Talking Poits Memo) that Sunni rebels in Iraq had decapitated a Shi'ite girl, then sewed a dog's head onto her body. Turns out the whole thing was just a rumor -- rumor reported as fact by the New Republic. The story is here.

Does this mean that BatBoy is also just an urban myth?
sure wish i'd been cataloging this trend: every time there's a horrifying US scandal - abu ghraib, fallujah, etc. - some even more horrifying scandal occurs from the other side (such as nick berg).
so i suppose this dog head crud was predictable, eh?
That was a bit near the end of Mars Attacks.
